    Hiya!

Know there are not a lot of fellow-catholics here, but still I hope someone knows some good answers.
I am from the Netherlands and shipping books costs WAY too much....and we speak dutch (english as second language but not an 'alive language' in the house) so we do not work with complete curriculum or so.
We use books that are good (instead of whole curriculum).

Now we are looking for stuff on history for K and grade 1-3. But than from a catholic worldview. Can anyone recommend books???
    I sure hope so!

    Thanks!
Oh yeah, don't mean 'church history' but really history from creation till now including church history of course, but not only that.

Have you tried looking at Setonbooks.com ? You do NOT have to purchase their entire curriculum - you can order 1 or 2 books. I'm not sure about their shipping rules - but they do have some good history books from what my friend said who uses them :)

    Catholic Encyclopedia Online

I like the Catholic Encyclopedia Online, and I'm a Protestant!

It's a good reference source for you, you could use some of its articles and translate them into concepts a young student can understand.

I was going to say Seton but it looks like several have chimed in with that. Most of my Catholic friends who homeschool have used several Seton things over the years. Voyages in English has a Catholic version (since it was originally for Catholic schooling)....if you ever want an English grammar type book (to help learn the language, usage, etc if there is ever a need).

Here is a link to a Catholic Homeschool Site with reviews on several Catholic History Programs:
    http://www.love2learn.net/history/htxtwgs.htm

I used the book Land of Our Lady: Founders of Freedom last year with 1st through 3rd graders in our co-op and it was a great spine. We supplemented with hands-on activities to bring the lessons to life and the children seemed to enjoy the lessons and retain the information.

Also, someone posted above a link for CHC (Catholic Heritage Curricula). I really love their materials and highly recommend them to everyone.
