I have been lurking for a while My name is Lisa. We live in rural SC. DS is 12. DDs are 2 and 3 (almost 4). This is our first year to hs. After starting this summer with K12, we quickly realized it was way to rigid for us. DS now uses A World of Adventure from Learning Adventures Life of Fred and ALEKS math. For dds we use Sonlight and little workbooks, etc. We just started "learn to REad in 100 lessons. Looking forward to the continued support and sharing of ideas.
We're doing Fred, too, but have gotten a little bogged down. She needs more practice doing fractions, so she can add and subtract, manipulating them from mixed number to improper fraction, back to mixed number; finding the common denominator; etc. without even thinking about it. So tomorrow we're putting Fred aside and will be working just on adding and subtracting fractions!
