Is anybody doing anything special for Labor Day? We aren't. We are still going to do regular lessons. I was thinking of taking it off but changed my mind.
We don't have anything special planned except a trip to find a new table/desk. We were going to school but hubby decided that he wanted the boys to have another day off...so that's what they get...even though they didn't do anything last week either (well except lots of art projects and bible)
Regular stuff - gave them their weekly lessons. Of course they have no idea we are going to the beach Wednesday
We aren't starting a regular school schedule until Wed. Today (Labor Day) we will be taking all the kids projects and creations and entering them in the regional fair. Last year they won almost $30 each!
we are planning on doing school today. Maybe later in the day though. we are always rushing to finish school and go for activity, today is a day off, so it should be a little relaxed school
I am going grocery shopping but before that going to Hobby Lobby. We don't have one at home so I am excited to go. We are going to make some more crafts. Some to stay here with the grandparents and a handful more to send to daddy.
We're taking the day off. I was wanting to have school since we'll be missing some for my dentist apt on wed. Like maybe do a half day today and half day wed, but dh is off so he wants everyone to be off, lol. I might swap the wed for friday, BUT the fair is in town and that is their kids ride all day for $10 day...so I don't know. Maybe I'll do half wed and half friday morning early.
My oldest is out bow hunting with his father today, so I have the day off. I have had a 3 day weekend and would you just know it that 2 of the days are cloudy/rainy ones. That is alright more time to catch up on here!
That is awesome!!! Ems entered her hen in the LA County fair some time back. She took first place. Her hen was still a bit young and smaller than the others but the judge thought her hen was perfect.
we usually have a pic nic we go to but no one mentioned it this year. So we are staying home and getting stuff done so we can be ready for tommorrow our first day of School! weee!
We're taking the day off, but only because dh is off work today. DD is finishing up some work from ladt week that didn't get done, which should take her maybe an hour. I'm planning to do a lot of cooking today, and the kids will probably help with that. Other than that, we'll get some housework done & the kids will play.
Dh is off, so we are taking the day off. We're doing some painting around the house. Tomorrow all of our extra actvities start, so we'll be busy, busy busy!!
We're staring "official" school tomorrow also. This morning, we got up early, joined another family, and ran a 5K race at a local festival. It was my first, and at 41, I was just happy to finish, and finished well. We'll be joining that same family for a cook-out this evening. Then noses to the grindstone tomorrow, with our first co-op session of the year Wednesday morning. Carol
Handsome just made a late lunch. He BBQed ribs and corn on the cob!!!! OH!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was fabulous!
We were going to do school today, but dh is home and little boys don't want to do any school...eh. Also woke up with a SCREAMING headache, eye pain, runny nose, scratchy throat...so thinking it's allergies. So I haven't felt like doing much either.
