I have been day dreaming recently about getting these as Christmas presents. We can get 2nd hand ones pretty cheaply, and I think that would be enough. Don't know if i will be able to afford it though....

plus, walmart usually has laptops for around $200 around this time of year. Look for that price espeically around the Thanksgiving day sale. I know that's still high, but for new it's not bad.

A new computer or two is my top wish. I just bought a new laser printer and was so excited about it until dh tried to hook it up last night and discovered that our computer is too old and it won't work :( So my wonderful new printer I have been dreaming of for months will sit here in its box until we get a more modern computer.

The boys will be getting a globe for Christmas, not sure if it will be the basic type or the cool electronic one I was looking at at Costco today (probably the basic).

A globe and some wall maps on the realistic side. A couple of laptops on the dreaming side.

Not yet. I'm still partial to the smell of books ;) Can they add that to the Kindle?? Just something about turning those pages:lol:

I do like the idea of it though....just not in the budget at this point.

A laptop for each kid & a new one for me
    more bookcases
a bigger house so I have room for more bookcases

BTW, if you really want a telescope or microscope, check out Edmund Scientifics. I got our microscope & telescope from there. They were both on sale for really good prices.

A bigger room to HS in. We use our office, which is both good and bad. We have two huge file cabinets and two desks, along with a bookcase and shelves in the closet for supplies... THE BAD part is, there is wall to wall furniture and not enough wall space to hang stuff in this small room. SO, my wish is for a bigger room and for me to figure out how to better organize such a small space.

    #1 - Sanity
    #2 - Time
    #3 - Creativity
#4 - A magic box that has an endless supply of pencils to dispense....

If I hear another child say "I can't find a pencil" one more time, when there are TONS somewhere, I'm gonna scream!!!!

Someone would misplace the magic box.

I agree... if we all could have endless sanity and PATIENCE the day would go a whole lot smoother. And I don't even HS full time yet.
