What are you doing Halloween night? Just curious I know some people don't believe in it and this is not a discussion about it being right or wrong just curious what everyone does this night?

We are processing our turkeys that morning hopefully to be done by 2pm then we plan to take the girls (daughter and friend) and Tommy to local Sonic where they will be having corn dogs and icecream for 50cents its a tradition they took it away for two years but brought it back.

Usually we hit a Baptist church that has a carnival but they had it early this year due to a football game being this Friday so I am going to look in the paper to see who else is having one that night. We usually trick-O-Treat for a bit but this year since it falls on a Friday and half the town is at a football game we will only do it for a bit then head home.

We plan to watch scary movies (Kid approved of course) and make popcorn (another reason I wanted those popcorn recipes hehe)

Thats about it for this year. Son is going to be spider man and daughter one of her Anime characters. She is 15yr but still loves to trick-O-treat. Our local town usually gets really into it with fire department having haunted house, school having carnivals and most homes really decorate their houses and give out candy but with the game this year I dont know.

Since we're of the "non-Halloween" persuasion, we will be going out to a movie ("Wall-E", at the cheap theatre), and then to Donato's for pizza. This has become a bit of a tradition for us. For a while, the church we were attending would have a special evening, but that church is no longer.

One other thing we've done is to sort/count/graph the candy. It takes the WHOLE DAY after, but it's a great project for the kids!

We are all excited about tomorrow. I have always loved Halloween and dressing up.

The girls have already asked for cinnamon rolls for breakfast so I will make those. We will have a very light school day and then make chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and decorate them with candy corn and pumpkins.

Samantha has been invited to a slumber party. It is her friend's birthday tomorrow so they are doing a birthday/Halloween celebration. I will drop her off at 5 and they are going trick or treating, playing games, eating junk and watching movies.

I am going to take Grace trick or treating while dh stays home and hands out candy. This will be Grace's first Halloween without her sister so I promised to play games and watch movies with her.

I am so ready for Saturday!!!

Our week started with a halloween party at the park with our home school group

Birthdays for the twins today---- need to make cup cake going to make pumpkins and spider webs.

Tomorrow we are going to the community college near us that is having a safe halloween...... and I think a church not to far from us hat is doing trunk or treat............ I have been making vegetable beef soup so that DH can eat when he is hungry and its done for us when we get home. After they eat they want to go to a couple of neighbors houses trick or treating.

We have a Fall Fest at church with games, candy, etc. The kids can dress up and get candy but I'm not dragging them to a bunch of houses I don't know :) ...which is 98% of our neighborhood.

There aren't any scarey costumes allowed at fall fest so I don't have to worry that DS6 will be freaked out by them;)

Mine are excited & have been counting down. Finished the costumes yesterday!!! We will just hit a few family & friends house. We LOVE to get dressed up & hit those we know!!!

We just made pumpkin & ghost cookies. We'll frost those later & we will be ready for Halloween!!!

Saturday will go to the store to get some orange lights & put them up. We have a banister & the lil ones love to have lights on the banister. It's nice then we can just turn those on at nite. We figure orange will be good for the month of November as well.

Our church does a fall festival that our kids have attended for the past 9 years.
We will go out to eat and then go to the festival. I like not being home on halloween.

We don't do halloween either so we will just be having our normal Friday night. Probably some TV and popcorn.

    Trick-or-treating for us here.

Our church considered having a trunk-or-treat, but wanted to have it tonight instead of tomorrow night. Many folks thought that was silly, as it's not really a Halloween alternative if it's not on Halloween. So, it didn't happen.

Well, my daughter's b-day is on Halloween, so it's party time for us. We are having a costume party and then going trick or treating. We only go to people's house's that we know, usually around ten or so. That gives us plenty of candy! I like the sorting and graphing candy idea. We will definitely do that. Have fun!

We use the time to visit neighbors. The kids dress up as non scary characters but we really use it as time to visit people we haven't seen in a while.

I'm kind of surprised we're having Beggar's Night tomorrow instead of tonight. Generally, they try to keep in off of Friday. People seem to be crazier, and the teens get themselves into more trouble when it's on Friday.

My stepdaughter will get bounced around, she'll do a bit of trick-or-treating with her mom and half-sister then she'll be with us and go trick-or-treating again with her step-uncle.

Saturday we're having a small party with a few of her friends. We'll play some games and have a good time!

We'll spend most of Friday cooking, baking, putting finishing touches on decorations, and doing any last minute cleaning that needs to be done. If we don't get the Jack-o Lanterns carved today, we'll be doing that tomorrow as well. Then, we'll spend the evening watching horror movies. Saturday will be our party.
We haven't really done trick-or-treating since ds was born. We weren't allowed to take him for the first couple of years (dr.'s orders), so we started playing games & doing Halloween themed food & movies instead. My ex-step-mom usually calls & asks to take dd trick-or-treating, but I haven't heard from her yet. We're thinking about starting trick-or-treating again next year & doing the party every year, too (assuming this year's party turns out alright).

We usually do REFORMATION DAY! We go back in time ...

It commemorates Dr. Martin Luther's posting of his Ninety-five Theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany on October 31, 1517.

Our trick and treating was Sunday afternoon. We do not celebrate Halloween. Tomorrow night my ds is going out with the youth group passing out tracts.

I love it! My dh said that they should sell (if they don't already) candy that has the salvation message printed either on the wrapper or a note attached.
