Jen, pass it on. I want to see, too. Dh was looking for a place to move south where the jobs are better than here. He wants to retire and just work pt.
Well if it wets anyones whistle to come here... Texas is a NO REGULATION STATE, in regards to homeschooling!!!!!!
I see you only have one house near you, Jen, and a number of interested lookers! We have one here too, in Western Kansas. It's only a modest little one that belonged to a dear uncle and aunt which my husband is in charge of selling (though a company is planning to send some employees to our area, and dh is considering renting it to them if he can't sell it). 'Just thought I'd add that interesting fact to this thread, because we, too, would be THRILLED to have more homeschoolers in this quiet, rural, beautiful, hs-friendly part of the state.
That house would go for about 350,000 here at least..... Of course a couple of years ago 600,000 probably. It's beautiful And I would love to live there... but then we went back to our old neighborhood last night to trick-or-treat and my kids had fun and then were done around 8. They said it was too loud So I don't think going back to a neighborhood would be what the family would all vote for - LOL
Well then, if she gets that house, I'll take the one next to Prairie! How about it, Prairie? Funny---nothing personal, I just never even considered living in Kansas before! Actually, I REALLY like it here! There are 2 houses in my neighborhood that are for sale! Too expensive though! The costs of houses are down from what they were a year or two ago, but they're still MUCH higher than when we moved in! I'm thankful we got in when we did!
That would be perfectly lovely, Deena! I thought of you yesterday when I met a former homeschool support-group friend of ours who is looking into enrolling her daughter (a friend of our daughter's) in a boarding school here in Kansas probably similar to that which your son attends. So, yes, move on down! We even have schools that your family would enjoy!
