Ok - my kids might not think this is as cool as I do.

1st off -- both kids have computers in their rooms. We owned a computer store in another life time and they have some of the remains which work just fine.

We got out of the computer stuff after 12+ years in it and dropped it off the face of the earth. We aren't in it any more - and don't keep up with anything. I do my best on stuff I still need to do - like wireless networking and of course blogging.... but hardware and everything else nope - no time.

So - we set up the pbwiki site (that's fun!) everyone likes it - but my kids also like to play games on their computers. They play roll playing games together cooperatively and with others.... no problem... but when they are supposed to be doing school work - they need to do school work.

I have content filters on their computers - I like it a lot because I can block any and all ads from appearing - works for me! And I can make it so they don't have internet during certain periods (like after 7pm or even before 6am - which they do get up).

Well I finally figured out how to use my router to block sites during a set schedule! So they can't play all those games they like during "school hours"!! Yep I know - it's not that exciting - but at the same time - less stress for me and I know where they are going ;)

    That's my excitement this morning!
