I have officially declared a teacher workday. Attitudes are bad (including mine) and the bickering has given me an eye twitch. So, I have ditched school today and declared a teacher work day. Maybe I won't have that big cup of coffee tomorrow morning before we start. Although, I have to say that since I threw in the towel this morning, Katie is reading on her own, and Amanda is doing some read a long books. LOL!
hey, the public schools have teacher work days w/o the kids, to plan, grade, etc. There's no reason we can't either.
Enjoy your workday. I also declared a work day today. Ds was so disagreeable this morning that I told him to quit school and start working. He has taken out the trash, mowed the lawn, brought clothes down from upstairs to hang on the line in the basement, made his own lunch, loaded and unloaded the dishes, and is cleaning up the basement so when I hang clothes on the line, I won't trip on them. He still has the sweeping to do, dusting and the one bathroom. Tonight after his dad gets home, we will have school Can you tell I have had it????? Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Enjoy your day.
(((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) I think you all need some group hug.. We all have these days, hang in there tomorrow will be a better day...
We had a teacher work week a few weeks back. We we're so fed up with everything.... It was just what we all needed. Last week and This week have run smoothly.
What is in the air today. We also are having trouble. Turns out that dd8 skipped breakfast. I thought they both had cereal together while I was in the shower. Now she is "starving" we had a talk about how hard it would be to have to perform in school each day if you were in a home where you were not getting breakfast before school each day. We will review nutrition facts during lunch prep. At least health and science will get covered.
