http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/national_world&id=6502017 A 15-year-old sophomore, Amanda Collette, was confirmed dead after being discovered on a hallway floor by a school resource officer at Dillard High School around 11 a.m. The suspect was apprehended at an area restaurant after a caller there reported she may have been involved in a school shooting. A gun was recovered. The school was locked down for a short time after the incident was reported, but classes resumed soon afterward. Wow.. We've come a looong way, baby.
Sadly it does not surprise me that they would continue with "business as usual". So sad for her family.
I just read this a few hours ago and was also shocked that classes resumed afterwards. I understand that it wasn't a mass shooting but still I would like to think that I would have been able to comfort and talk to my child about what happend and just to make sure they were ok.
 That is dag on crazy! It's becoming an every day type of thing. Soon there won't even be a short stopping of classes or lock down...it'll just be "Walk around kids...pay no attention, go on to class". Sorry, that's just insane!
Oh I would have ran to go get my kid when I heard the news....no respect for the girl at all ..how awful Just another reason to homeschool
