My dh got really really sick lastnight. Please pray for him. Also it made me think that I don't have any life insurance on him. Does anyone recommend any affordable life insurance companies?

    Most importantly please pray.

We will keep him in our prayers.

I like Zander Insurance (http://www.zander.com). They shop around at a ton of different places, and you can do the shopping yourself online if you prefer, or (I believe) talk to an agent (we did the online shopping thing).

Ours is under Farmer's Insurance. I know mine is SUPER cheap. Like 15 a month for me. I am not sure how much my husband's is. I know mine is reasonable, though...

I am praying. Please keep us posted on his health.

We have Life Insurance through American General. We are paying about $150. a month for Handsome only. If I pass, he will not have a financial hardship so we decided to get a good policy on him only. I am thinking of getting one for me and Ems but much smaller. We looked around for cheaper policies but the policy we have is the only one we really felt good about at the time.

We did dh's through lifequote on line. You could also try select quote, I have heard that they are pretty good too.

Prayers being sent. Hope he recovers quickly. Can't offer much advice on insurance though, we get ours through dh's work.

Our life insurance is through dh's work, too. My parents have theirs through Farmer's, I think.

I think it is wonderful that some of your husbands have life insurance through their work. Handsome's boss has a type of life insurance policy that covers all the employees but it only covers if the men are killed on the job.

Patty my dh has the same thing. I want to be sure he is covered even when he isn't working. So far I've contacted several places and HSLDA and Zander seem to be the best. For $1,000,000 for 30 years it's around$73 a month. This would bring us into retirement so by then if something were to happen we would already have finances in place.

I know that Dave Ramsey says to go with term life insurance. Do any of you have return life insurance? I was just wondering if it is worth getting that.

So far my dh is scheduled to get blood drawn on Saturday. I'm sure their are several more to come. They can't give you solid quotes until after the lab tests so he's going to be poked a few times coming up.

My dh seems to be doing a little better now but I'm and still very worried about him. It was literally my worst nightmare and it is going to take a while to get it out of my mind. But with God's help I'm sure that I will - baby steps. Thank you sooo much for your continued prayers.

This is a great monthly fee for the return.
Like I posted in another post, we are paying $150 a month and it is a lot less than $1,000,000.

Just get the plain jane term life. It is so much cheaper, and it isn't worth the extra money. We had to deal with this with my Granny when she passed. Listen to Dave what he said on the whole life etc is exactly what happened to us.

Our we have `15 year fixed $500,000 on dh and I for less then $40 a month.

For those mom's out there who do not make an income, you still need some life insurance on you as well. Yes you do not make an income, but think of what your dh would have to do to replace you. ( store bought meals?, house help, day care, schooling? days off from work) That is why we have it on me as well. So that if something happens to me, then dh would be free to quit his job if needed to take care of the kids.

PS I hope you dh is better

When I was getting life insurance it was Aggie that gave me advice. I have insurance through Zander and it is very cheap...I mean very cheap...I think we pay $75 every 3 months for $500,000. My dh also has life insurance from his work too. We have term for 30 years....which is why it was less expensive..however it can be converted.

I hope your husband is feeling better!

    PHEW!!!!!!!!!!

I called Handsome at work and found out exactly what we pay. I was wrong in my other post. It is $150. every three months, not every month. After reading the posts I couldn't figure out why we were paying so much. LOL
