Ok my family is starting to get a little worried that faucet might stick as the babys' name. (my ds 4 picked it out a few months ago) And since we have like a month left, we should probably start looking.

    Here are the requirements
    no unisex names
Nothing that is to to odd, (my dh, I don't want something to vanilla)
His middle name will be Lee, most likely.
Oh and we are trying to find somethng that will be suitable in like a CEO board room when he is older, yet can be shortened or not stuffy for a little boy as well.

    Names I like
    Samuel Lee

    Names Dh' likes
    Joshua Lee
    Jordan Lee
    Daniel

Ok so a little help here. I bought a baby name book from a garage sale but it is "new age" baby names. Wow some of the names in there makes me think that people shouldn't use drugs during delivery, or pregnancy...hehe

I like your name...but I've already told you that we have fam with that name!!!

I also like Joshua & Daniel. I think Jordan is more of a "newer" name, also a unisex name if that doesn't bother you either.

How about Nathaniel? You can shorten it to Nathan or Nat?

I think somebody else suggested Nathaniel I had forgotten it I might add it back into the list as well.

I didn't know that Jordan was unisex, I will have to tell my husband that it will make him sad.

4 of my boys are named Grayson, Gavin, Andrew, and Matthew. I got Grayson from when I was a nanny for a very wealthy family. At the time, it was the first time I had ever heard it. I think Gavin also sounds like a CEO type name.

I never hear names like Daniel or Joshua in the CEO type world right now. I think William sounds very like how you describe.

I know this isn't going to help but going back to your using drugs while naming the baby...my neighbor works in an OB office and her MIL works at the hospital. Well one woman was getting an ultrasound and when asked what she'd name her baby she replied "I don't name my baby you all do" the nurse was confused so she asked what did we name your last babies? The woman replied well my sons name is Malie and my daughter is FaMalie (now I wrote those so you can understand how she said it but what her kids names are is MALE AND FEMALE) now how dense must one be to really believe that is a child's name?

It is so funny how names change over the years. One of my best friends growing up was Grayson (a girl) and my son's father in law is named Grayson. Two little girls we know are Jordan and my daughter in law's nephew is Jordan.
I wouldn't worry about faucet sticking as a nickname. We wanted to name our sister, Robinn, Railroad tracks but Mama and Daddy vetoed that. We still kid her about it though.

Oh my- I don't know whether to laugh or cry! I have a friend whose mom works in high risk OB- she also works with alot of lower income ladies. Some of the ask at the ultrasound who "the baby's daddy" is- and they are serious!

How about combining the best of the two names you like ... or part of your name with part of your husband's?

Also, you may want to look at the meanings of names, or origin and check from your list to see which would be suitable for you.

But your list looks good so far. Except for 'Lee', all the other J'' names listed are biblical names.

I can relate to unusual names. I used to wait tables and I had two ladies (at different times) that I waited on----one was named Taquila and the other one was Shithead, pronounced shi-they-ed. I had to ask her because I could not figure out how one would pronounce it other than how it looked!

Anyways, I like Joshua Lee. I think it has a nice flow to it. I have to admit I actually like Faucet....how sad is that? LOL! :)

I had to laugh, because me and my husband hate our names.
Here are some others that have been suggested by my family
    Parker Lee
Forrest ( I think that would leave to much room for teasing about Forrest Gump)
    Randale (by Randy)
    Robert (By Bob)

I like the name Gage too, but because my husband is a machinest we use "gages" all the time and he vetoed it.

I like the Joshua and Nathaniel suggestions. I also like the name Benjamin!

With Nathaniel, the Bible spelling is Nathanael, in case you chose it and wanted something different.

Our oldest is Benjamin and his nickname is Benj. We called him Benjamin until he decided he didn't mind a nickname, as long as it was Benj! :D He is more open to Ben now, but still does not want people to call him Benji, as they did when he was little. He didn't mind it then. In fact, it was cute to hear him as a 2yo saying, "I ChiChi!" ;)

Yes, Jordan is definitely a girls name as well. We know one that spells it Jordynn, a girl that spells is Jordan, and a couple of boys that spell it Jordan.

We felt the same way as you: If it was a boy we wanted DEFINITE boy names, if it was a girl we wanted DEFINITE girl names!

    Best wishes in your choices!

Like someone said it sure is. I think it started out more boys because of Michael Jordan & then went on from there. Jordan (not sure of her spelling) was one of the idol winners.

I like the name Bailey...I thought of it as a boy name. A male fam member has it & then it was used as a character on a Party of Five as a boy's name. But when I was teaching in PS, there was a girl with it.

I know of a bunch of girls named Bailey. I think that it is an odd girl name.

Another odd girl name I think is Hunter. I just think it sounds like it should be only boys. But I know several little girls who are named that. Oh well I am glad I don't have to name every baby, that wouldn't be a fun job.
My husband like Daniel because of the story in the bible of Daniel in the lions den.

OK I am new here but if you don't mind I would love to jump in.
I love the name Jacob which is my son's name even if it is really common.

    Other names we considered:
    Benjamin
    Jase

One name that seems to have made a comeback that I just love is Henry.
