Hello! My name is rhi, I currently live in the middle of nowhere, California. Because no one ever knows what town I live in. 'Cause if you blink you'll miss it! My dh and I are on our second year of home schooling. We use a charter school and my girls love it for the socializing aspect of it. My girls are ages 14 and 11 and my son is 3.

I'm excited to get some new ideas and see how other home schooling families do what needs to be done! :D

Welcome! We were stationed for 3 1/2 years at Ft. Irwin, CA (middle of nowhere...somewhere in the Mojave:lol:).

We didn't homeschool there since the kids were babies and toddlers at the time (and one was still gestating).

    Glad you found us!

    Rhonda

    Welcome!
I've lived in a couple middle of nowhere places here (my little mountain town is probably still middle of nowhere). Being out of the hustle and bustle is nice.

    Welcome!
About 33 years ago my city was the middle of nowhere. Actually, it was a town that nobody heard about. Then one day everybody from Los Angeles heard about it and it started growing very fast. Now it is a city and I wish it was still a place that nobody knew about. LOL

I wish I lived in the middle of nowhere! But instead I live smack dab inside the 4th biggest city in the US. Ah, well.. :) Welcome to Homeschool Spot!

I at times like living in the middle of nowhere (actually it's Valley Springs and nobody knows where it is). But shopping is a pain in the tush. I have to drive at least an hour to get the good shopping done 30 minutes for walmart, kmart or lowes. We live in Calaveras County which actually Mark Twain has a story about.

Placerville is about an hour away I think, I haven't been that way in a long time. And we do enjoy big trees alot and my dh loves Yosmite.

My dh's 2 cousins , aunt and uncle live in Oakhurst, so they are at Yosemite year round doing things ( both of the cousins homeschool their families also).
We were in Yosemite in August for my sil's wedding. We'll be in Placerville in Dec. for an early Christmas with the in laws.

We went to Yosemite for our honeymoon a long time ago and it just became a favorite place. Have fun with the inlaws for Christmas, it should be beautiful. I love the weather at the moment, it's pouring rain.
