Of course...another fine example of our state. *eye roll* WHY do we always get the crazies???

This was on our news, and my heart broke. For starters, he was SO overweight which he should not be. If you saw him on the news (the pic here does no justice) you'd gasp at the pounds on that pooch. Secondly, I hope the owner gets the book thrown at her. Anyone around here knows what the laws are when you own a dog. If you leave it outside you have to have a suitable shelter to keep from the weather conditions. This means somewhere that there is heat to keep him warm. I don't believe for a second that she checked on him every 2 hours or she'd notice he was stuck to the sidewalk.

    Poor thing. :(

We finally got a puppy, a 6 month old yorkie. She loves to snuggle under the covers. What a cutie :D

The poor animal must of had some major issues if he layed down on the cold ground so long he actually froze to it. Poor thing, I could not imagine treating a member of our family that way.

I heard this on the news and couldn't believe it. Bring me that pup. I'm still mourning my Sparky, but I'd help that one out.

BTW- Jen's not kidding when she says that picture doesn't tell the whole story of how chunky that dog was.

It is awful that people can let a pet outside in the cold like that. Adopting a pet is a long term commitment and if the best you can offer them is a house outside then it is best to let them where they are so someone can adopt them that will give them the life they deserve.

I hope they throw the book at her, too.

Aww...what a cutie. In our lease we can't have dogs in the house so we put him in the garage with a comfy blanket that is real thick and then we put him on a thick mat under that. He even has a dog house that we take in and out for him, but he refuses to lay in it.

It makes me mad to see how some animals are treated. We have two dogs and a cat. They are as spoiled "loved" as our kids.

A stray cat had kittens this summer in our feed shed, she got in there through a broken window. There are bags of out grown clothes out there which she ripped open and has a huge warm play house. Anyway, she disappeared and now her once mean kittens are family pets.

It snowed last night 8" and dh shoveled trails from the feed shed to the two story house which has wall to wall carpeting and fully insulated with windows that they stay in too, ds built the cat house. He didnt want them fighting the snow.
