I love filling the kids stockings, its the most fun for me, and I know there are some people out there that do not. But I wanted to share some great finds I saw yesterday.

In my Michael's they had loads of bins full of dollar stuff, not in the usual dollar spot area, it was all on its own (in my store it was behind the christmas crafty things) I"m talking like over a dozen bins full of stuf for one dollar stuff for boys and girls, puzzles, magnetic sceenes, tinker bell crayons, car stickers, coloring posters with markers (tinkerbell, cars, iron man, hulk, disney princess etc...) sets of animal stampers---- frogs, snakes, turtles, and bees, flowers, rainbows, etc... 6 in a pack. There was so much stuff that I didn't get to go through it all. I just wanted to share.

even if you don't fill stockings these would make great things for the craft box, birthdays, nieces and nephews that you have to get gifts for.........

Stockings are my favorite thing to do, too! I'd do stockings for everyone in my family, if I could! My kids love them, too, because they are full of surprises! I've gotten several things from the Target Dollar Spot, but it looks like I need to check out Michaels. Walmart had some movies for $2 on Black Friday, so I got ds12 a Spiderman movie. His is the hardest to fill.

I usually put socks in ours. My girls look forward to getting them. And then I put some other stuff, maybe a movie. Two different years my dh put tickets to disneyland in them and I never knew.

Wow. I am so lousy at stockings. It is always Christmas Eve and I'm going, crud, I forgot the stockings! My mom always put fresh fruit - apple and an orange, usually - in ours, so that is easily duplicatable. The rest winds up being what I can find last minute, LOL. Sounds like I need to get to Michaels, but I have to figure out how to do it sans kiddos. <sigh>

I love stockings. This year I am getting bubble bath, bath toys, bath paints and crayons (for my youngest), body spray (older kids), flavored chap sticks, warm hats, gloves, scarfs, candy, and well anything else I can find.

My kids love getting those neat bottles of bubble bath. Also this year I am trying to stay away from the usual stuff that ends up in the garbage in no time, or never gets used.

My mom used to always give us underwear, socks and candy. I so hated getting underwear and socks for Christmas, so I stay away from that.

I also got some of those glow-in-the-dark bracelets that you can put together to make necklaces (like the ones they sell at amusement parks or at festivals in the evenings).

Yesterday my kids (and me and my mom) went to the candle lighters christmas party (candle lighters are for cancer survivors or families that have lots children to cancer)......... anyway they all got one gift (about a $20 gift) and a stocking ---- stokings were all made by nurses.I think the nurses all made pillow cases-- they were hand made and all different.......... anyway they all had some fun stuff in the stockings and some personal stuff like body wash, tooth paste, soaps etc...
anyway all the stockings were cute, Eva got one that was black but covered in yellow smile faces and yellow on top with wellow fringe..... made me laugh.

Wow, wish I had a Michael's close by!

I plan on making bath salts, bubble bath, & glitter playdough, as well as a few other treats like Snowman poop (mini marshmallows), reindeer poop (Whoppers candy), and Reindeer food.

The older boys will get socks, Journal Jars, body washes, treats, & music gift cards.

I went to a Chick-Fil-A on Saturday and they had cow PEZ dispensers. I picked one up for Chris's stocking since he loves PEZ. I have a compass for David, a book for Ryan, lip gloss, miniature puppies, and a K journal from Michael's for Kate. They are also all getting Snicker's nutcrackers, gum, and whistle pops. I will probably get a gift card for each kid as well. They love cards to McDonald's. For the next two weeks, I will be on the lookout for neat stocking stuffers.
