I run my own business - a website selling supplemental educaltional materials that I create. It's fairly time-consuming because there's the business aspect, site maintainence, and the research & creating the products. Research & creating the products actually also counts as time towards prep for school, though, because dd uses all the products I create (usually before they make it to the site).
Running a business, homeschooling, plus all the other stuff (social engagements, regular daily life stuff, etc.) does keep you busy, but it's very possible. There are days when I'm exhausted or working into the wee hours of the morning, but I enjoy & am proud of everything I do & am acomplishing with my life.

I work at a law firm doing clerical, filing, etc. a couple nights a week -it's the perfect part time job because my boss is a great guy and I can set my own hours-they don't care when i go as long as the work gets done.

Of course, life would be a lot easier if I didn't have to work, but my paycheck basically makes our car payment.

I work constantly...but not for $$$. LOL. I know that's not the help you're looking for, sorry. Honestly, I don't know how you do it, but I'm not exactly domestically inclined in the first place. I'd rather do school all day and let the place go to seed, IYKWIM.

I've thought several times about doing home day care, but I think I'd have to shut off part of my house and never let anyone go in it so at least some part of it would stay tidy.

I work part time night shift at the local hospital.
    I can work 2 shifts a week, so I work friday-monday every other week. 4 in a row...then I have 10 days off.
I leave ds with a list of to do school stuff on the Mon & Tue that I am sleeping...most of the time about 1/2 of it gets done... but I think we are doing ok.
We don't have "easy" fridays...which I know a lot of folks do, so that is fine. As long as we get in some reading and math...that is a schoolday.

I run my own business - sew for a living and hs. As Brandi said it keeps you busy but is very doable.

I tutor high school and college math about 12-15 hours a week. I agree with what some of the other posters have said...you just have to be more organized, and realize you might not have as much "me" time as you'd like.

At least for me, my own kids are typically done with their schoolwork by the time I start tutoring the ps kids. That way I don't feel they're getting short-changed. I also have a very supportive husband and kids who pitch in when needed. The afternoon and nights I tutor I rarely have to make dinner.

    Good luck!

I babysit one babygirl from 7am - 3:45 mon - fri and I am in training to teach classes at the dance studio. I won't get paid to teach because I am taking in trade for free tuition.

Babysitting the little girl is easy. She sleeps a lot and is a good little girl.

I do work outside the home 3days a week /3 hour shifts plus a couple of hours here and there putting projects together for them.

I would say if you think you can do it then you should give it a shot. Just know when to ask for help or let something go if you need to. :)

I work, but I'm based out of my house unless I have to go into the city for meetings, or like Thursday out in the middle of no where for meetings! I do inspections for farms in rural areas of the state so I travel a bit, but my job is only part time.

We have a farm which is a full-time responsibility. On top of it I deliver eggs and do a farmers market etc.

I run the marketing and website for our farm. My husband is the "handy man" :)

I work full time as a high school English teacher. Right now my DD is only 4 and DS is 10 months so it is manageable - although it does take a lot of organization on my part. My hope is that by the time she is in grades I can start working part time.

I work full time nights at the hospital....4 on, 3 off. We do similar things in terms of lists, independent work etc. With similar results, lol. But dd 13 is better that ds 12, and they are both getting better at it with age. How old is yours?

I used to think that I was the only mum who hs & worked, but I have come to realise recently that the are many who do both, and there are lots of ways to make it work. It is definitely do-able.

I do daycare in my home several days a week, and I won't lie it does make homeschooling difficult on those days but we're starting to figure out a routine. Good Luck!

I work outside the home. I work 3 day a week 12hr shifts (we have to have my income to make our bills and such) So basically our week goes from Monday thru Thursday with hubby teaching on Thursday and then they get some review sheets and fun activities/movies to watch and such on Fridays with our babysitter. I Work Thurs,Fri,Sat so the babysitter keeps them Friday and Saturday.

I run my own business as a holistic therapist, so the hours fit around my children, its normally weekends and evenings, when dh is home and they are in bed or playing :) it works really well for us and the children love me practising on them, so its there reward for a good days work :)

I work 20 hrs/week for the cable company. 4 weeknights/4 hrs each and 4 hrs on Saturday afternoon. I started about 2.5 years ago after being a SAHM for 12 years. My kids are 15, 12, and 7 and I love having the whole day with them - dh takes over at 6. The money is ridiculously good and I love it there.

I worked with another nurse who hs, so I knew it could be done. She really helped me make this decision. She works 3 days a week, and I really don't know how she does it...I think her older girls help with the little ones.

My ds is 11, and we are really working on initiative.
(He took the initiative yesterday to have a snow day with his brother. ds8 is in ps)
