Today is the day Crystal goes for bloodwork. She got a bad report last time and the doctor wanted to wait until today to repeat the bloodwork. He changed her medicine around some and we will see what happens today. For any that might not know, she is 15 and had to have her thyroid removed in the Spring because of thyroid cancer. Please pray for her as she gets the blood test, (she hates needles) and for the results. She starts basketball tonight and if the doctor says she can't play she is going to be so upset! Bball is her favorite sport and this is her last year in this league. Second prayer request is for my oldest. He is such a great guy. Matthew is our son who has Crohn's disease. He is married and has a 9 year old son. When Matthew was 11 he got sick and it was Crohn's. 10+ years ago he had major surgery and they removed most of his intestines and several other things and he has done very well since. He came by last night for a minute while he was on duty, he is a town policeman, and he was feeling sick on his stomach. He called me a few minutes ago and he ended up at the hospital last night. He is feeling better now but they think the Crohn's may be back or he may have a blockage from scar tissue. He has to see his specialist and swallow a pill that has a tiny camera in it. They will be able to check for scar tissue or anything else that may be there. I can't even type the words for what they are looking for. We had this scare when he had the surgery 10 years ago and it was scar tissue then so I am claiming that again for Matthew. Please pray for him. He is a good man and he has been sick so much of his life. I appreciate you all so much and hope to be back with good news from both of these soon. Thank you all. Beth

Thank you all so much. Crystal's doctor will call as soon as the blood work comes in. I am hoping it won't take too long. She went to basketball skills clinic last night and out of three girls and about 22 boys she was probably 7th skill wise. She did fine and will be finding out which team she will be on soon. Matthew is feeling fine as of last night. He goes for his test right after Christmas. Emily and I are sick today so we are taking it easy and resting. Nothing major. Just a "bug" I think. Again, thank you for all your prayers. This waiting to hear can be pretty stressful. Beth
Crystal's doctor just called and said her bloodwork is good! He needs to adjust her medicine a little but no big deal. I am so happy and grateful for this good news. Matther called me earlier and he is feeling fine today. He goes the 29th at 7:45am to take the pill with the little camera in it. Katie, one of our twins, goes the same day at 8am for a colonoscopy. They think she has Crohn's too. Beth
