Can I be a Christian here? I can say the words Merry Christmas? Am I allowed to celebrate the birth of Jesus out loud? Can you tell I've been harrassed lately? It is so frustrating.
Libi, I think you will find that a lot of people who come to this forum are Christians and those who aren't accept that many of us are and they are very good about it... at the same time we also have to respectful to them as well and I think that we tend to be accepting either way of all who are represented here (boy does this sound like a tongue twister)... (By the way, welcome to the forum)
I will always say Merry Christmas. I celebrate Christmas for Jesus birthday. I always will. Jesus is the reason for the season. You can always say Merry Christmas around me. I do wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I don't understand that whole debate. I know a million nonchristians that say Merry Christmas. What's the big deal?

Libilou, next time someone says you are offending them, tell them "you don't think you're offending me by telling me I should hide my faith"? It usually shuts people up. It goes both ways. Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Our church's contata is based on "Tell Me Who This Child Is". It opens with a mom and daughter discussing how everywhere the daughter goes she is being told that Christ is no longer associated with Christmas. Then the mom is encouraging her to delve into the scriptures and be ready to give a response to those who question her. I love my church!....oh, and welcome fellow sister in Christ!
