Ok, My oldest LOVES textbooks. I mean she even collects them and reads them for pleasure.

I'm looking at her social studies/history for 7th grade. She's not at all interested in SOTW or anything similar...she wants a textbook

Anyone have any good recommendations that aren't horribly expensive? I'm leaning towards a world culture/geography curriculum (that's what our state guidelines focus on for grade 7)

Have you looked at Prentice Hall or Scott Foresman type stuff? You can order right from them, or save a ton of money, pick what you want and then hit ebay/half.com

I just picked up Abeka's 7th grade history textbook myself to use as a spine for next year. My oldest isn't a textbook fan but I've promised her we'll add the Sonlight's Core 6 and 7 readers as we want. I just don't want to expend on 2 more cores when I know that my younger ones are not SL kids.

My middle DD LOVES textbooks though so I know I'll get my $$ out of the used Abeka textbook :)

    It's World History, btw.
