They better leave thrift stores alone. We have one here that uses its income to help people pay utilities, buy groceries, etc.
So do several of ours. Also, Salvation Army and Volunteers of America also help with finding people jobs.
Yep..my dh gets him levi jeans in excellent condition for about 2 bucks each time at the stores near his work. And I've found him several shirts at our local thrift store when they have half off day which is the .50 cent day.
Today at Goodwill I found five children's books I needed for school, a swing to replace one of the boys that had worn out and last week I found a globe in perfect condition. All for less than 20 dollars total. I buy all my workout clothes there as well. I asked our librarian if she had heard about the new law and she was in shock and promised to go home and investigate it and bring it to the attention of the higher ups. If they try to take one book out of the children's section of our library or close it down I will do a sit in. If we didn't have those books my kid's education would suffer greatly. Peggy
I know I won't be alone. I'm not much for protest marches and things but don't take my books! I think that's why I'm so worked up about this law. I'd figure out someway to clothe the kids but don't take the books! Peggy
