Hey do you do a party day? DO you celebrate Valentines day like they do in big schools?
We have had party days and now I just give them valentines treats and a shorter day... we talk about love and loving one another etc,

    What do you do?

we do an act of service for some one, can be as easy as making cookies for a neighbor to volunteering at a shelter, (any thing to show love.) this year we are also having an "i love my friends" party and inviting a few of their friends over for pizza and play time! :)

My 8 y.o. and 5 y.o. made Valentine cards today. I did one too and helped cut out paper hearts.

In a little while we are going to bake cookies for a few of our relatives.

We don't do parties, but we do a little something every year to celebrate Valentine's Day.

    Happy Valentine's All!:D

We don't really do anything special, though Carl is taking the girls out for dinner tonight. Nowhere fancy, though, just Friendly's. He and I were suppose to go out, but I'm fighting a TERRIBLE cold!!! He had it last week, and lovingly shared it with me! The one co-op we belonged to would have a Valentine Tea, which was great fun!

We used to have a Valentine's Day party with other homeschoolers. This year we are doing nothing. My younger two are sick and I am beginning to get sick. I know my older dd is very disappointed..she loves the holiday stuff. My ds just wants candy. I may indulge them tomorrow....they are putting up with a very mean and cranky sick mommy today...lol.

I wish ya'll lived down here..
I host a library day, it takes a while to build up a group of people (Wonder the library on school days during school hours to find other homeschoolers and post to as many forums that will let you.....) but it is SOOOO worth it...

Another mom hosts the same thing at another local library on the north side of the county, two weeks after mine, so there are actually two per month....

So, our Library Days are actually an "Indoor Park Day" a great time to bring your board games, card games, barbies, what not... and are every two weeks....

Anyway, each day is just a get together, but sometimes we do "Themes". This time was Valentines. So we had a valentines day party.

We had the kids decorate white lunch bags. Then they filed out their valentines and we lined up all the bags and the kids got to walk along dropping their valentines cards into the bags, and we parents dropped candy into the bags.

Huge mess, total chaos, completely loud... But it was soo worth it...

Here are some random pics for inspiration...
    Start you own......
