I had Mono last week. My little Aiden so graciously shared it with me. We were both also hit with an eye infection known as Periorbital Cellulitis. In English...LOL...it means an infection and inflammation of the soft tissue around the eye. If left untreated or not treated properly it could lead into more severe things, such as being lead into the blood stream or cause menengitis. EEK! Aiden had a temp of almost 105 and was almost sent to the hospital. Thankfully God is good and on the day the doctor would have admitted him, his temp went down to 99.0!

Anyways...Tanner had a flu and Mono (the first one to get it), Aiden had all what I explained above, then I was hit with what Aiden had...now Tanner is home from school AGAIN with a temp of 101.

AHHHHHH!!! Anyone else seeing a lot of illnesses this winter??? Seems like there are a lot of people who are getting hit hard around here.

My dh has been sick 3 times in the last 2 months!
Mind you, my dh is never sick. The last time he was sick was like 10 years ago and when he broke is ankle he didn't even stay home once, but with this last cold he actually came home for the day ( after putting in 4 hours at work).

I was sick for 3 weeks straight in December , missed Christmas dinner and new Years Eve :(

My dd's (knock on wood) haven't had more then a sniffle.

I hope your family gets it all out of the way now! I think you guys have had your fair share now ( and then some)!!!

Yes! There have been alot of families sick here. Some just can't seem to get a break. We haven't been hit by alot but I feel like a hermit this winter trying to avoid the really bad stuff.

Let's see....I was sick for 8 weeks with a cough and cold. My dh had the same thing and it lasted the same amount of time. During that time my baby and 3 year old got sick. then my ds got sick. Then we were good. Then my baby got sick again. Then my 3 year old got sick again. Then....the baby or my 3 year old was sick yet again. My dh got sick again. I was just sick. My ds was sick again. my dd was sick over the weekend for the first time. lol. Yep, a ton of sickness. From the sounds of it, people at my church have been the same way. What's going on?!

Here, too! Carl's not been 100% since Christmas. Last week, he was home two days from school, then graciously shared with ME! I'm still recovering, and it's trying to come back on him.

The kids are fine, other than Phillip picking up a louse somewhere. And you know, where there's one.... So we've been VERY DILIGENTLY fighting that before it can get a hold on us. We thought it was fine, no signs at all, and then one day I find another out of the blue! I finally called my cousin, and she cut his hair really short. We think we may have it licked finally! Good news is that there's no sign on anyone else!

Becky, I left some of our windows open as soon as my dh got sick. I don't care if its cold and rainy here I'm leaving my windows open a few hours a day!! Give me some fresh air.

Yeah, we just got over passing a sickness around for two weeks. I was down for five days - had seven heavy blankets piled on and couldn't get warm, and my dh was on the road for most of it, leaving me with four kids 7 and under. My 7 yo, thankfully, managed to miss it all, so she changed the baby's diaper and was thrilled to "cook" dinner (ie reheat leftovers). I've spent all day today cleaning the house up from the resulting destruction, and it's still not clean, just no longer obscenely messy. <sigh> We were sick back in January, too.

Us too. It has been really bad this winter. All three of us are sick right now. DH and I with a nasty cold and dd with croupe and a double ear infection. This is number 3 for me and dd since November. They have all lasted about 3-4 weeks. Yuck! Only number 1 for dh but he has it really, really bad. He even stayed home from work today. That means it must be really bad!

Aside from a head cold Ems and I had a while back, we haven't experienced any sickness. For the most part, those we know also have avoided getting really sick. So far that is.

got the stomache bug going around here. I have decided that it's either the base or the only Wal-mart in town that started this horribile little bug. Everyone we know has been effected, this is spring break and I think most are out sick. Thankfully we are on the mends.

We have had a few minor things like short lived stomach bugs and head colds. Nothing too bad. I am praying for all the ones having such a bad winter. Hopefully Spring will be here soon.
