Just wanted to thank everyone on this board for all your help! Just last night I was putting together this week's lessons, printing out free worksheets and visiting sites with all the free resources and it hit me that I would never have known any of this without you all! We are on a very tight budget and we have one full curriculum that we pick and choose from but there isn't nearly enough drilling for the concepts so I supplement it all with free stuff. We haven't spent a dime on curriculum since the beginning of the year! And here I was all worried we couldn't make it work with us both working as well. When I see how well my stepdaughter is reading now and I see her proud little face when she's done with her work I am very thankful for the homeschool spot and you all! ((HUGS!))
I'm proud of your stepdaughter as well! Congratulations on making it work for you! Yep, homeschooling doesn't have to be very expensive! It seems to be more so as the kids get older, but maybe by then things will have eased up and you can afford it better! I agree, this is a great place! Hope your homeschooling continues to work out well!
I agree! It is great when I need a work sheet or an idea for a subject and I can come and look through everyone's fave web sites! It really is a great resource.
