Also...if so what's the best way to make them? I got a good deal at Costco for pork chops but since we hardly ever eat pork chops I am kinda clueless. Thanks!
Yes-- you can put ANYTHING in the crockpot! LOL! As far as how to cook them--what are you in the mood for? My mom used to cook them with saurkraut and barley. You could pour some bbq sauce over them and cook them that way. You could put some veggies in there and cook them like you were cooking a roast......If you have a favorite chicken recipe for the crockpot you could probably use it for the chops. Sorry I don't have an exact recipe but I'm the kinda cook who just throws things together and sees what happens!
I cook them only in the crock pot! Any other way I made them-- they turned out tough because I always would over cook them. In the crock pot they turn out perfect! What I do is brush a tiny bit of olive oil on them, and then put a rub on them. (I use pepper, mrs dash, a touch of cayenne pepper, a bit of sage, onion powder, garlic powder) I don't really measure anything and just put on whatever I feel like at the time. I cook them on low for 4-5 hours and they are just great that way.
Jackie, I have had a busy day and was reading the posts, I was wanting to know what is MKC, then I realized you were talking about a person not something you put on pork chops, LOL
I put them in - dump in cream of mushroom soup and some water usually and that's it.... let it cook!!
I like the cream of mushroom soup mixed with a package of taco seasoning to give it a southwesterny flavor.
Hey Dee Dee, thanks! I have cream of mushroom and taco seasoning. I will be slow cooking the chops today!
Yum! I'm getttting huuuunnnngry! Our fave version is using cream of mushroom, ketchup and a splash of worchestershire sauce. Comes out so good and goes great over rice! I've got to try the crm. of mush. with taco season - sounds SO easy! Yep...time for lunch!
