Just asking that when you pray for your country or a soldier you know, please add Zach to your list. He is married and has two little girls...one is 4 and the other is 14 months old. He is making a huge sacrifice by volunteering to go to Iraq for 6 months. They were taking volunteers for people in specialty...or whatever the proper term would be...he is a fireman in the air force....reserves...I believe. He has been wanting to serve his country in this reguard and now he has the chance so he is taking it. I think it is amazing that he is willing to go. His wife was also in the military to as much as she will miss him she respects and supports his decision.
My hubby is in Afghanistan for 6 mos (just left a few weeks ago). We volunteered for what is hopefully his last deployment before we retire. We decided 6 mo was better than the normal 12+mos he's done the last 3 deployments We'll add Zach's name to our prayer list. Iraq can use all the qualified folks they can get.
Ava, I currently pray for a soldier named Zach through Soldiersangles.org. He and his family will have my thanks and prayers. Thanks for sharing it with us. Miller
Praying. We owe debt of gratitude for those who do so much to defend our freedom. If you haven't seen it yet, the movie "Grace is Gone" is amazing. I THINK it was intended to be anti-war....but what it did was bring more attention to sacrifices not only the soldiers make, but the families make as well. Praying for him.
