As most of you know Friday Feb. 27th, my niece Jessica gave birth to her fourth son Benicio two weeks early. He was born with a hernia that had been pushing his organs up against his heart. He was born with only one lung and it had been working hard for his body. He blood pressure was so slow and because of his condition he was placed on the ECMO machine. Since then the tissue on his left side began to develop into a lung. He was down to 50 percent on ECMO. Yesterday, I got the news from my sister (baby's grandma) that there are more complications with Baby Bencio's heart than was expected. The doctors are taking the next 48-72 hours to study his case to figure how to proceed. But now today, we found out he is bleeding internally (going into his stomach) that the doctors told us they have not choice they need to perform surgery tomorrow to repair what is causing the bleeding and work on his hernia. :cry: Please, I am asking you all to please Pray. My niece, my sister and our families are surrending this to the Lord's will. Benecio means blessed. We are praying for the Lord to bless him... :love:
Update at 8 PM today The doctors decided that it is too risky to perform the surgery so they are postponing it. I don't know what this means and how can they stop the bleeding if they can't perforrn surgery. :cry:
