The decision is in God's hands now for Benecio (PLEASE READ)

I don't know how to tell you this.. I have been sitting in my bedroom numb... :cry:

My mother just called to inform me that the hospital doctors called everyone in the immediate family to give them the news.

They discovered my grand nephew Benecio has a hematoma of the brain (bleeding in his brain). I am not sure what level it was. The doctors said that they have no choice but to remove Benecio off the ECMO machine.

At 6 PM central time Benencio will be breathing on his own. We don't know if he will survive. His life is in God's hands.

PLEASE PRAY WITH US TODAY FOR BENECIO....

 

I will keep little Benencio in my prayers. As well as prayers for the entire family during this time.

Benecio is slowly being weaned off the ECMO machine. I just found out he is at 57percent on it still. My sister (baby Benecio's grandma) said they are praying for a miracle but they would accept God's will in this whatever the outcome.

We found out baby Benecio's bleeding in the brain was as a result of the prolonged use of being on the ECMO machine. His body developed blood clots and if he remained on it, the hematoma would grow and kill his brain.

It is hard to type these words without tears. I cannot imagine what my niece is facing at this moment. I know that I have been there with Michael when he was facing being on ECMO but not like this...to be told they are taking your baby off the very machine that is providing oxygen and filtering blood for your child... :cry:

I want so much for God to allow this child to live and not to die... My niece has held him and loved him and I don't want her to lose him...

My faith tells me to surrender it to God, my heart as a mother says not to let go... (do you understand?) It's a struggle each of us are going through in my extended family.

Thank you for continued prayers and We are still praying and holding on to faith for God's will...

 

Honey, we understand. God gave us the ability to love and with it came the sadness attached to letting go. It hurts to feel. I am praying for you and your neice and her little son. It's hard to pray for God's will when you are the one facing someone you love, so I will pray it for you. Be strong and lean on Christ. HE is your strength.

**UPDATE**

It's 10:48 PM Central time and I got word that Benecio is now completely off the ECMO machine and is breathing on his own. We are all praying that He can survive.

My sister (Baby's grandma) and niece (Baby's mom) are staying overnight at the hospital. My sister "D" wants to be there for her daughter.

I will be up late tonight, I can't sleep. I'll be home all day tomorrow, if I hear anything I'll update everyone.
I am praying that by faith we'll hear good news...
