I forgot all about the Key to series. we liked it, but didn't use the Algebra or Geometry from it. We looked them over & decided that they weren't complete enough to be considered high school Algebra & Geometry, they were more like intro courses for them. So, we skipped those & switched to TT. The Key To series is reccomended for 4th-12th Grade. I wasn't impressed with Math Mammoth. I downloaded some samples of it & found multiple errors. After that, I decided not to pay for it. I think that was when we decided to go with the Key To series.
New here and have my ear to the ground, because I am sometimes overwhelmed, because I am also new to homeschooling. I have an 11 year old and a 16 year old son. Our 16 year old has a learning disability, but great eagerness to learn and understand. I use 5th grade ABEKA for him, and 6th grade Macmillan for the 11 year old. I surely will be asking for advise in the near future, because this is a learning experience for me as well.
I am sorry but what advertising? I just have the Geometry so maybe it is diffeerent but he just stands up and teachers, theres not anny ads in th books just questions and answers and how tos? Do I have a diferent version of MUS? Iknow VT is leaning toward christianity though... but wow, I am wondering now where the ads are.... Maybe thats TT? Its online, not on a Cd.
When I filled out that little form for a free sample of MUS, the little packet that came.. that advertising. The thing trying to prove to me it was the math for us.
wow, okay, I didn't get that sorry. The currc itself just has basic teacher infront of his board and hsi corny jokes but teaching straight stuff.
right.. and that is what I was looking for.. but their little "buy me" packet just kind of soured my taste. I don't have it anymore.. but it pretty much assumed that anyone using it was going to be a Christian.
That is very true. They could have kept their beliefs to themselves and I probably would have been sold.
