Good Monday to all of you! How was your weekend? How is everyone feeling? Deena, are you over your bug? Patty, is your mom still there?

We had a nice weekend. Friday night we had a baseball game in the next town up. We met my in-laws there and watched the game, then went to a pizza place for dinner and visiting. The boys talked and talked about our time away. That was fun.

Saturday I had to go in to work at church, DH was able to get off work early and stay with the boys. I needed to get a newsletter out and had a couple of hours of work left to do. Saturday night we just watched some movies and relaxed. (A rarity at our house!!)

Yesterday we did DS's paper route and then headed up to church with in-laws. Drove home so DH could get to work, and I was so tired I fell asleep after he left. The boys watched a movie while I snoozed- wow, I feel MUCH better! In the afternoon they went to some friends' house while I ran some errands.

We have a busy week. Public school is out and there is a basketball camp at the high school, so we may check into that. We have two baseball games. I have a bridal shower to go to, and our summer reading program starts this week.

I have tried and tried this morning, but I cannot open page 2 of last week's thread. So pkrustic, if you put a link to pictures or something I will have to look later!

Talk to you all soon! Drink your water and kiss your kids!

You were so tired you fell asleep? I can hardly imagine that! (ha!ha!)

I'm enjoying using my food processor. We had a family gathering at our house today, and I would not have had time to make the "apple betty" if I would have had to slice all the apples by hand.

    Have a good week, everyone!

Good morning ladies! It certainly is starting to heat up in TX: sure signs - we got out my daughters pool yesterday and I have flip-flop tan lines on my feet! :)

This must be wedding season, cause I've been to three in the last two months and RSVP'd for another today...and my brother gets married in Nov.! :) Whew! Love is in the air, I guess!

We had a nice Sat. - did lots of stuff outside - my dh mowed (and I helped some too) and later we began the work on what I HOPE will become my chicken coop! I think I'm going to see if I might like having chickens by getting 3-4 laying hens! We have plenty of space for them and I think it might be neat. I really am pretty clueless about this kind of thing, but like to at least try it!

Hope you all have a fun week!

Thank you for sharing the pictures pk! The wedding party is wonderful! Wow- that's a major change for you while you build a home! How old are the kids still at home? Do you teach all of them?

Prairie Home- do I detect just a hint of poking fun at me???? lol It's probably more surprising how many days I go and DON'T fall asleep in the middle of it! ;)

Oooo, apple betty sounds good! I'm glad you are liking the food processor.

GT- I just pulled out a pair of flip-flops- had to chuckle at your tan lines. I have to work on building up a little callous between the toes!

You will have to let us know how the chicken project goes. Two of the ladies at church bought chickens this spring- so I've been hearing about coops and foxes and feed.... I just don't know much about it all!

Hi to Deena and Patty too. And all who stop in and read. We have had a good week around here (it is only Wed, but still...). I've not been able to exercise much yet, but plan to get to it still this afternoon. DS was invited to go lift weights with some of the high school football players over the summer- that would be great! And it was a real boost because the invite came from an older student!

Time to run again- just wanted to say hi!

Well, our menagerie is growing a tiny orange tabby kitten "adopted" us last night...dd named it "Farmer Brown!"

MT3 - it always make us feel good when someone takes an interest doesn't it, whether we're young or old! :)

What a lovely wedding! I've had to read your post several times after looking at the pictures: fourteen children! Congratulations! Congratulations also on your health and beauty!

I thought the pouring together symbol of the bride and groom's lives was neat. 'Had never seen that; but because it was outdoors, I assume they didn't care to risk candles.

And, yes, MT3, I was poking fun--that once in a while you just might get a little, tiny bit tired!

Garden Turtle--best wishes on building your chicken flock!

    HI Ya'll,

Just a quick drive-by post! :) It's been too hot here for me to exercise much....crazy for WA state! But I still park my car far from the entrance when we go to stores and stuff! That helps a little.

This weekend my oldest is graduating from a Christian Highschool! WooHoo!

    Love you all!

Congratulations Deena! I can't believe how fast that went! On to the next chapter!

Our weather has been strange here too. Pretty warm, plus thunderstorms and rain for the next week or more. Last night it just BOOMED!

GT- how is DD doing with the new kitty? We have allergies at our house- so no cats. Right now we have a dog and three containers of stick bugs! lol The kids are pushing for a ferret, another guinea pig, or a hedgehog. Hmmmm- not yet!!

Praying you guys all have a great weekend! We have some errands to run, plus there are some fun things planned for kids tomorrow. It will depend on the weather a little bit!

Talk to you soon! Drink your water and kiss your kids! MT3

P.S. pkrustic- I've looked at your pictures several times, and the bride and groom look so young! It's odd when I realize how much I am growing older! ;)

Thankyou MT3! Yes, it's amazing how fast that went!

MT3, this makes me think of what I thought while at my ds's graduation this weekend. The speaker was saying how long ago he graduated and how many years it's been since he was going through his graduation. Then he said how old he was--which is 2 years younger than me! That's getting pretty bad when I am older than the speakers at graduation!
