This is not an emergency or anything, but I'm going to mention it anyway, because I'm not sure who else to ask to pray about it, LOL! My church is having a retreat for "leaders" tomorrow from 9-2 at an old inn out of town. Carl and I were asked to attend, and are planning to go. It was also mentioned that several people attending were going to stay tonight at the inn as well and have an informal get-together. I was able to arrange for a good single friend to come and stay with my kids so Carl and I could go tonight. We've got our reservation, and everyone's meeting for dinner at 6. So here's the snag. At dinner last night, Phillip's tummy was bugging him. He didn't eat anything except his bread, but it ALL gushed up right before bedtime. (On the tile kitchen floor, easily cleaned, thankfully! He had been sitting on the "good" couch in our carpeted living room, on Mommy's lap prior to that!!!) He threw up about two or three other times after he went to bed. Then about 11:00, Faythe started complaining about HER stomach, and she started. Needless to say, we all slept in today. Rachael's fine, but the other two have headaches and felt dizzy when they first got up, though they say their stomachs aren't hurting. I REALLY want to go tonight!!! We can always cancel the reservation for tonight, and Carl can go by himself tomorrow. But I'm still trying to find my "place" in this church and felt it would be really good for me to go and just have fun with people tonight. (Plus, I love being able to spend the night with my DH at a hotel without kids, LOL!) So could y'all pray that by kids settle down, and are able to keep stuff down all day? I've already warned them that there's going to be a change of menu for tonight. They were disapointed, as the girls were looking forward to "making dinner" for Cindy. I promised them we would invite Cindy to dinner sometime and they could. Thanks!!!

Well, to make a very long story short, we went. We dropped the kids off at Cindy's house, which was half-way there in the "right" direction. WE FORGOT TO GIVE HER A HOUSE KEY!!! So we came back home to give it to her last night about 10:00, arriving back at the hotel at 11:30. THEN whatever bug the kids had got me; I was up three times during the night. I didn't eat the excellent lunch (French Onion soup and salad), but settled with applesauce. (I brought the lunch home to eat later). When I called home around noon today, Phillip told me in a very cheerful voice, "Guess what, Mommy? I'm feeling really-really-really, really-really-really, really-really-really" (that's 9 "really's"!!!) better!!!"
So happy to hear that Phillip is feeling better but also sorry to hear you got it too. Sorry I missed the original prayer request... praying that you will soon feel better.
I missed the original too. Hope you all are feeling better!!! Sorry it HAD to be THIS weekend that you all got sick!!! Let us know how things continued to go...
Jackie so glad everything worked out for you all. I hope you are feeling better. They say it's going around big time. I think it's because of all the wonderful weather we all are having.
