Khan's Academy - free math videos at varying levels

    There are some great math videos, starting at basic math and going all the way up to calculus. I'm watching the level 2 addition now. He takes several different approaches, from lining up the numbers to using pictures to creating a number line, and talks through it. It looks very interesting. I'm going to try it out with my DD7 in the next little bit.

    He does occasionally get a bit distracted while talking, because it is conversational ("you won't learn this for awhile but numbers actually go below 0", "this is the ones column, you may not know that..."), but the conversational style is nice instead of the boring lecture style.

    Okay, I just looked and it looks like there is some thermodynamics-type science, as well. Very interesting.
