Susan Rice, the US Ambassador to the UN stated to a group of kids in a school in Harlem that the Obama admin. is going to work on getting the treaty that gives away our freedom to parent as we see fit, ratified. I have been calling everyone I can and the lines are busy, so I've been emailing everyone as well. I was just coming here to post the same thing! Sometimes I wonder how much difference our protesting can actually make, but this one is too important to just sit by and watch it pass.
I hate to sound pushy, but call today while you are thinking about it! I have been on facebook, twitter, all the groups I belong to, called and emailed my senators, have been trying to get through to the white house, emailed Susan Rice's office. Their phone lines and voice mail have crashed from all the calls coming in. I just received the same email from HSLDA. I am also taking the info to church tonight to hand out to everybody so they can make this call and email.
susan rice has her phones shut down..LOL They disconnected the first number and the other two well you cant leave any messages now because they got a TON of calls. I emailed both my senators and the president and voiced my opinion. I got the heads up on this from parentalrights.org. so i did all this this morning and she got so many phone calls that they disconnected the phone and such this afternoon. LOL
I emailed the White House too. I have emailed a couple of times before too. I hope they are all getting the message!
gosh, just saw this, i called both senators, but the white house is closed. i will try again tomorrow! this is just sickening, and unfortunately im not surprised but very saddened that obama's administration is so out of touch with his country and their opinions!
Just sent out my initial email. Got a bit of a chuckle out of the notice that a delay in response is to be anticipated due to the overwhelming number of comments. Gee, really?
I emailed and I am trying to call the White House but it's aways busy. I am so sickened. I could have predicted this...but somehow I was still hoping it wouldn't come down to this. I suppose that's what happens when people blindly put in office those intent on taking away our freedoms.
It is so hard to be surprised by anything anymore. The right and left are so far apart now and common sense has gone completely out the window. I guess I'm numb However I will continue to call and e-mail etc., as I did on this issue as well as the "cap and trade" bill.
I agree with some of the things in it, but I think the bad outweighs the good. However like most things in government, I don't think a protest is going to do much.
