Does anyone have any experience with tennis elbow or tendonitis? I have been dealing with this for several months now and cannot believe it won’t go away. I have seen the Dr-Dr’s and all they tell me is to ice it or use wet- heat, NSAID’s and rest them. That would be my next question how do you do all that we do without using your arms?
I am hoping there is some trick to healing that I’m missing like some vitamin or herb I can take, change my diet or something, anything. Getting off the computer probably wouldn’t hurt but I just thought I’d check and see if anyone knew of any secret I’m missing.

Both my husband and I went through a phase where we suffered a LOT with tennis elbow - I do NOT envy you right now! What we both helped tremendously was one of those rigid arm bands that you wear right below your elbow. I picked it up at Walgreen's or something like that. I have NO idea how it works, but it really does! Good luck!

My dh was diagnosed w/ T.E. recently. He went to a Dr. of Internal Medicine who also has a Masters in Nutritional Medicine. My dh was wanting to try natural remedies for the T.E. His Dr. told him that he had treated his own T.E. with Potassium, Vitamin C, and B-12. (B-12 was in the form of injections) He also told him he could take Aleve if needed and yes rest, ice, and heat.

The condition once established is often worsened by repeatedly bending the arm or by lifting heavy loads.

It is very important to give the injured arm sufficient time to recover and you must rest the arm by not using it for sometime. For several days, try not to use the arm for activities that involve forceful gripping, the lifting of loads, or the carrying of heavy bags or weights.

These are some of the things the Dr. told my dh. It has only been a week, so I don't know if the supplements are working or not. My dh goes back to the Dr. Tues., if he recommends any other supplements, I'll post them if you want.

Thank you so much that would be very helpful. I have seriously spent weeks sitting on the couch or in bed with my arms on pillows not cooking not cleaning not reading(books are heavy). My dh has had to wash my hair etc. I have started taking vit c and will try the b12 and potassium. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

T.C. My dh went back to the Dr. today. These are the supplements he has told my dh to take. Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin K, and Vitamin B-12. My dh tested low in Vitamin D. The Dr. said that low D and K (potassium) affects your joints. He said the K and B-12 would help with the burning/stinging pain that he has in his elbow. The Vit. C, I believe he said helps your body to absorb the other Vitamins. My dh goes back to the Dr. in 6 weeks, so I guess we'll know by then if the supplements are working.

I pray you'll be feeling better soon.

I have been taking the B12, C, K, multi and throwing one in for 'hot flashes' too for the heck of it. I have to say I think it is much better, I'm not lifting anything heavy but I can move around and do little stuff like brushing my teeth, light cooking etc. Thank you for the help and prayers!!
