We are looking for one and I was wondering about brands. I have found a few on the web, but I was wondering about just going to Lowes or Home Depot or somewhere like that. Someone said buying one in person might be better because if you have a problem you can just deal with them.
We have an Amcor Portable Air Conditioner that we purchased at Home Depot last year. I'm not sure how many BTU's it is, but it cools a very large area comfortably. We turned our garage into an extra room and that is where we use it. I believe we paid around $300.00 for it, on clearance. FWIW...we haven't had any problems with it. HTH LR
Thank you - Amcor was the one we were looking at. I found a couple of reviews on sites, but 1 would be against and 1 would be for. Not really helpful when there are only 2. Did you get yours at the store or online? Sounds like the store, but just checking. What does it look like? There was a silver and blue and a black. Also, a white one that looked a little smaller.
You're welcome. Yes, we did buy ours at the store. The one we have is silver and black or it could be silver and navy; but it looks black to me. LR
We have one at church and it is well worth the investment and it is cheaper than a central air system. I believe the church paid around $200 at least five years ago so it might be more now, but it is fabulous.
