I was there today, if you have a teacher's card, then you can get 25 packages of pencils for a penny each. Yes, even us homeschool teachers can get that card.

I wasn't able to get the 25 pencils when I was there! HMPH.... but I got 4 because I made Jacob buy some as well..... no biggie..... I loaded up though.... 33cent spiral notebooks as well..... cool acceptable colors for dd Spent a whole $20 after the coupon and got 4 bags of "stuff" Oh and Walmart had their stuff out and some of it was cheaper there - 50cents for colored pencils, things like that....
Ours didn't have paper for a penny! They DID have it for a good price, but the price difference came as a rebate check you could only spend AT STAPLES. We did get some good stuff, though!
There were 2 things that were a penny with the rebate.....I know the paper was one of them - but I had gotten some when they had the "buy a box and get $20 back in credit" so it came out to $9.99 for the box.... simple enough for me
I got my 25 pencils. The paper was a rebate thing. I got them. But you could only get 2 b/c you can only apply for the rebate one time (at least that's how it was explained to me). Oh well. I got two reams of paper, and when I get the easy rebate back it will hav eonly been a .01. And the easy rebates are a CHECK...not a credit to be used only at Staples. You can do it online and the checks come EASY EASY EASY. Hoping thier next penny sale has some good stuff. I'm holding out on the notebooks b/c last year I got them for a penny. Although .33 is good. I have to sit down and figure how much I need.
We asked specifically, and were told it would be good only at Staples. Either someone told you wrong, or the manager at my Staples misunderstood! Our rebates were for about $10 each, not for the (almost) total cost. Wish I lived near YOU!!! I found it!!! I was looking at the INSIDE of that ad, at the big case for $29!
Your manager was wrong Jackie..... Staples rebate checks CAN be used at Staples - but they are a check. When they say "Reward" you can only use those checks at Staples (which was my paper one which I got back in May - it should be coming soon for like $20). I don't mind it when they send my rebates on "visa" cards either - but was upset the one rebate I got was AMEX cause a few of the places I WANTED to spend it didn't take AMEX. But that was around the holidays - Black Friday Sale stuff....
We were asking about the whole CASE of paper that's on the inside. So it may have been for THAT one it was a "reward" thing. I completely looked past the one of the first page!
