We will start September 7. I figured out that we will still be done by June. So, when is or was your start date?
We start August 12th & will be done by mid May. We are going by the PS calander. It is easier for us that way because we still have one in PS.
If the K12 works out for us we are starting Aug 17 but if we go back to regular hsing, I'm honestly not sure yet!
We are starting August 17th. The PS school starts here August 19th so I thought starting on Monday would be good. I already love the freedom..lol my daughter has to go to a dentist on August 21 about 1.5 hours away so i dont have to worry about kids missing "school"their first week. I love it.
I think Carl reports back on August 24, so that's when we'll start. Rachael will be getting a head start on her Notgrass History when she gets home from camp next Saturday, but will be working at the Ohio State Fair so I'm not sure how much of a start she'll get.
We took about a month off. We start back this July 27th. I should have our order from ChristianBook.com by then.
sure that sounds good, I have to start the Drama class on the last day of August, but the homeschool here wont start till september sometime.. with ust one kid I am not worried about falling behind this year haha
MMMM, never stopped! LOL:lol: Okay, okay, we started back last week with a full schedule, before that it was a "half-schedule"..just math and history was our half schedule and some co-ops..
We started back July 6. We will probably end in May. We will take a few week long breaks during the year, in addition to the two weeks we generally take in Jan. to go to Tennessee. LR
August 10th. Take 1 week off in Sept, 2 days off in Nov, 2 weeks in Dec, Probably 1 week in April and end May 14th. Bridget
I am thanking about August 11th. That will give me 3 weeks before ps. I think this year will be harder. Vicki is in 6th.
August 10, the Monday after my youngest turns 5 years old. And I usually say we school all the way through the summer and take off more through the holidays... but it hasn't worked out that way very well. I'm going to move us into a seasonal schedule, with time off within or at the end each season, and using a different schedule for each seasonal "session". 3 years of homeschooling under my belt, and we're still trying to find what works... and that's a lot because what works changes here, and the kids don't do well with change! It's a ride, for sure.
August 31st is our official start date. We get back from CO on Aug 3rd...I'm hoping to do a mini-unit for about 8 days for the rest of that week, and the following week. We're going to read "Babe, the Gallant Pig" and do practice using our daily response sheet that I created. And we'll do Math. I wanted to start earlier, but we decided to send our daughter to the later camp in August (aug 24-28, I think)....so I can't start that week! Oh well!
As expected my plans to school through summer crashed and burned. lol. I needed a break as much as they did..probably more! lol. I have not set a date to start up again...but I was not thinking of starting until the first Monday of September. No later though...it's either end of August or beginning of Sept. I am way behind this year on the planning. Looks like after my little one's birthday this weekend, I will be working on that. I know what I'm doing just don't have it all planned and ordered.
