    one thing I have learned in my young years on earth is someone always knows something and they know it better then you. So, stand up be proud and read them the bean dip.

    I just read the bean dip thread, and i'm so glad I did. This will be our first year homeschooling and I wasn't sure how I was going to answer all of "those questions" or comments and after reading that I feel much better knowing to not say much at all. It sounds so much more confident.

    I like the "you can wash it down with a cup of shut the heck up" too. I'm so sure this will be needed for some.

    I just went back to read this on Hslda's website, it was great, I hadn't read it yet. I also love the one on Civic involvement. It says so much.

    Heehee.....here is my conversation that happened a week ago....

    Location: Theater dress rehersal for play that dd was in

    Who: me and a woman that has been afilliated with the local private school for years and about 30 kids dressed as munckins.......lol

    Lady: your dd is so well behaved!
    Me: thank you!
    Lady: (she knows I attended the local private school..) Does H go to St John?
    Me: No, I homeschool her.
    Lady: Really? Isnt there restrictions on that?
    Me: No, not here in Louisiana, but there should be some if you ask me, but we do what we should though
    Lady:Oh, well what do yall do for socialization?
    Me: (thinking ~what in the world do you call what we are doing as we speak?) (looking over toward dd who is speaking with a group of kids...) weeeelllllll, we do things like this. She also takes dancing twice a week during the year, she plays softball~and made All Stars this year as well as we belong to 2 homeschooling groups...
    Lady: Oh well I guess you have that covered then~
    Me::roll:
