Hi, I am Lacy from Tx. We live in northeast Texas and recently decided to start homeschooling my 7 yr old daughter. She had been in public school up until now, and we had a terrible two years and I just can't send her back. So we decided to start homeschooling. We are using Abeka right now and she seems to enjoy it. My husband has an odd work schedule and we really enjoy being able to do things as a family instead of having to worry about her missing school. I also have a 2 yr old son, who is actually picking up a lot just from watching us teach our older daughter. I look forward to being able to talk to some of you!!!
Hi, from a fellow Texan! I live in East Tx. We have a 2.5 yr. old daughter. We haven't really begun any formal learning yet, but as you say about your ds...they pick up a lot! Welcome!
Hi Lacy, My husband and I are new Texas Homeschoolers ourselves. We've been homeschooling our son Theo for just a little while now. Started A very lax program for preschool in December and now we're just getting serious with Kindergarten and it's going great. So glad to see another new Texan on here. Hope to chat with you later. Hello, to both of you! Lots of Texans on this site - I'm just south of Austin near San Marcos. Lacy - my hubby also works an odd schedule (3rd shift, unregulated hours, no set days off, etc), and homeschooling has been wonderful to adjust our lives to best fit his. You're where we were 3 years ago! My oldest had finished 1st grade and I just wasn't sending him back. I also had two little guys at the time, who are now 5 and 6. Homeschooling is a journey, and a lifestyle! Welcome aboard!
Another Texan here!! I'm close to the Wichita Falls area. Still relatively new to hs'ing, but I love it. I have 2 boys, 16 and 13.
Welcome! I'm a future Texas homeschooler, most likely. My husband's company has lots of jobs he hopes to transfer to in the Dallas area. Welcome!
Hi! We're in the DFW area of TX...we are also early in our homeschool journey (Pre-K for me dd and my ds is only 21 months) but we love it so far!
