We are planning on starting back up fully on August 26th. This will give us some extra days to play with over the year. The boys have been doing reading and Health all summer.

I am actually excited to get going this year. I feel like I have more focus and direction this year than I have had in years past.

We were planning on starting the 24th, but we are pretty ready and might switch that to the 17th. If we start on the 17th we are getting in 2 weeks before the PS even start, that will give us plenty of days if we need time off for anything. Also, I am not planning on taking time off over february and April breaks like the PSs do, so we'll have plenty of time to play with and if we don't need it we'll finish up early. So we'll see, either next week or the week after, the girls are pretty ready to go too.

This will be our first full year of home school, "officially" starting this month. We have been doing a shortened day of school all summer in attempt to catch my daughter up to speed. We are about half way through the 1st grade books(repeating what the PS SHOULD have taught her), and have the 2nd grade books on order. I plan to start our full schedule on August 24th.

We started the first week in July. I'm due the beginning of December and I wanted to be able to take some time off after the baby was born.

We started with language and math for my younger two this week; Rachael started on her History (which is going to take a lot, so I felt a jump on it would do her good!)

Phillip, btw, has made the switch from "little boy math workbooks" (Horizons) to "bigger boy math textbook" (Saxon). I think he likes the switch; makes him feel older and more mature! He asked if he could get one of those stretchy cloth covers for his math book, lol!!!

We will start on Monday since I'm homeschooling only one this year (LONG STORY) I figured I'd start when he goes to his first day of school. So Monday it is, we'll probably spend Monday shopping for a few supplies and then decorating his school space and playing a few back to school type games or something.

July 1st was our first day back. This will allow for a longer vacation over the holidays.

    We start August 27th.

PS doesn't start until September 9th. I don't think DS will really notice the difference, though.

We are starting Aug 31st. Last year we started in September (after Labor Day), but we are bored, so I decided to move it up a little.

We started August 3rd, the same day as our local PS. We usually wait til the last week of August to begin, but I wanted to "bank" some weeks of attendance to take off after our baby comes...hopefully near the end of next month! (YIKES!)

We will begin on August 31st - I hope! Still have to figure out oldest ds science, and get stuff organized amidst camping, vacation/outings and life! I'm enjoying our summer off so much, it's hard to think about getting in the routine again.

We went ahead and started back last Wed. even though the school here doesn't start until the 18th. With missing so many days I thought it would be better to get ahead for once!
