Italian Beef for Sandwiches 1 Beef Roast 8-10 Sub rolls 1 packet dry Italian salad dressing mix 3 cups water 3 beef bouilon cubes 1 teaspoon each of: -- all herbs are dry garlic powder onion powder salt basil oregano 1 Tablespoon each: parsley flakes Italian seasononing 1/4 teaspoon each: pepper red pepper flake In a saucepot bring everything but the buns and beef to a boil, boil for 1 minute. Place beef in crockpot and pour over liquid with seasonings and dressing mix. When beef is tender shred with 2 forks. Pour Juices in small bowls. Place a hearty portion into warmed, split rolls (I take out a bit of the bread from center of roll) ----in Chicago they would top sandwich with a pepperchini pepper. Serve beef juice on the side for dipping. my husband is not partial to the "soggy" ness of the sandwich so I really drain the beef beofre I put it on his roll with --- I kind of make his into a cheese steak sandwich.

Its just called minced meat ( beef etc)- I guess its the same as ground beef there (??) Off to google it...lol
