I like the black eyed peas and I usually listen to them, however the little one is killing the music for me...lol. I can't turn on the computer with out her pointing say "Boom Boom Pow, mommy Peas." Most of the time I will turn it on for her but sometimes I just can't take it one more time. I must admit I didn't think my kid would be a dance music kind of kid but she loves techno and electro. If I give her a glow stick she will set for a rave....lol.
 My boys like that song also. Good thing I don't have the CD of it because I'm sure they'd play it everyday.
My dd13 and I love the Black Eyed Peas! I took her to their concert a few years ago. We had about 50 kids and moms in our group and it was an outdoor concert - what a blast!! We were all up dancing all night!
they do dance and electronic....here is a link to the song i'm refering to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cKnTLrDbcw
That is SO funny! My 8 y.o. ds loves the Black Eyed Peas too. He's wrecking it for me because he plays their music over and over. Today in the car I was by myself (very unusual) and the next song on my cd was Boom Boom Pow. I had to skip past it because I was so sick of it. Normally I would like to listen to it.
I haven't heard that one too many times yet, but the will.i.am song "I like to Move it" got on my nerves after hearing it ALL the time from my kids!
we don't listen to them really but that song is funny and your kid's version is funny too. The kids love the dance the zebra people do when they are on TV
I like the original version of "I like to Move it" from Reel 2 Real much better. Here it is....warning though...this video contains people dressed in strange outfits and showing some skin (if you know what I mean). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QjTPuvxZIw&feature=fvw
"becky -If I 'moved it' like the girls in that video, I'd need physical therapy!" HA! Me too! Thanks for the laugh today, Becky.
My mom tried to get Soph to listen to the original beats but it doesn't appeal to Soph at all. i think it is Will I Am that appeals to her, he does a pepsi commercial that she loved to watch when we had tv. There is just something about his voice that appeals to that child....lol. At least it gave me a short break from "That's Not My Name" by The Ting Tings. I swear this kid is turning all the music I like against me, Blondie, Queen, Pantera, Bjork....the list goes on. However at least it isn't Elmo's world....lol.
