I wasn't planning on it. My dh is working today so we have the time to study.
My dds, however, found out from ps friends that (NO school today) so they protested
and wanted TV in the morning. So,we made a deal that we going to do a little of studing to catch up on some the assignments that they're due this week.

    Whats your plan for today?

We are off today from school, everyone is home and it is honestly pointless to try and do any school work today. Instead I'm going to help DS declutter his room.

We usually take off days that my husband gets off from work. He's home today, so we're off. :D

I'm baking and getting ready for a bbq later today.

We'll be back at the grind tomorrow! :D

Same here, Krista! He's home, so no school for us! And we've a picnic in an hour!

Snow days, now.... I will try to teach at least a partial day if his district calls a snow day. But we don't get up at 6:00, and we're much more relaxed. Daddy kind of interrupts our routine, lol!

I planned on having the girls do their school work today, but my heart is just not in it. I am exausted from not sleeping well last night and emotional over Bobby leaving. I am taking it easy and may take a nap soon if I can. Boy I am a fun Mama today.

Yes, my older daughter who goes to PS is home, so of course her younger sisters will not get anything done. Plus I like to follow her calendar so we all get off at the same time.

Nope, no real school today. DD's are doing some independent reading for book reports that will be due next week; but other than that, no.

Hubby was off but went golfing this morning. So we crammed school into 10-1 and are now cooking out.

We did school - if we took today off, we'd have to make it up some time and as we had no special plans, it made no sense to take the day off. I have 2 high schoolers and they are involved in so many contests that as we get further and further into the year, we struggle more and more with time. They also do sport, are very involved in 4-H - so there are all those conference that will require them to take days off, like to socialize etc, so 'wasting' a day seems pointless.

We went down to the beach for surfing and breakfast and then....My kids both decided to do work today knowing that the rest of the week would be easier on them. Very mature decision-proud mama moment.

We were going to do work today, but we went on a field trip instead, our first "homeschooling" field trip. Since we educate our kids on a lot of things when we go places anyways, it didn't feel much different. We went to a 25 acre garden area and focused on trees... Tomorrow I will have the kids do a bit of writing about it. My husband works a lot of weekends, so our plan is to only do school work on the days he is working, so we can enjoy him when he is home. :)

I had thought that the kids would school today but decided to take the day off. I woke up with a headache and still have an ear ache that started a couple of days ago. My niece and nephew have today off and all the kids wanted to play together so this worked out well anyway. Back to our "routine" tomorrow.

No SChool for us today, I had it planned just in case hubby went to work, but he was off so we took a much needed family day and visited with my parents. It has been a very relaxing day!

We decided a day at the State Fair counts as a field trip. Our current theme is farm so seeing all the veggies, animals, equipment and stuff does fit into our education very well right now. The boys spent about half an hour facinated by watching the cows being milked.

It was a normal school day for us. Dh was off his regular job, but he worked at his other job from home today.

We had school today. At this age, his assignments take no time at all to complete. We're spending 10 days in AR with my family, so we did his work this morning while everyone did their own thing, and then the whole family (extended family) took a trip to a childrens science/history museum in the afternoon. It was a great day!

We are camping this week!!! LOL - what's sad is that the WIFI here is faster than my house - so maybe I should download a bunch of stuff while I'm here :) We leave on Friday and we were able to leave a day early (yesterday/Monday)....and I've got to say - all you camper people.... Frontier Town in Ocean City, MD is very nice... quiet, large and really nice people :)
