    Ha..roflmao....clean house...funny.
I am working on one thing at a time...making my bed, which really does make me feel better all day...(but I didn't do it today) if I get to 2pm and it isn't done yet I think "what is the point." sigh.
I have also gotten rid of one (more) kid. so that helps a bit.
We redid the boys rooms so we got rid of a TON of stuff then...out with the baby toys and pretty much only books left...and some dinosaurs.
And now I have a schoolroom...extra cool. although we rarely do school there...but at least there is somewhere to put the school stuff.
    It is slowly getting better.

I love this idea! Thank you=)

My house has been for sale since February and it has made me learn how to clean, and get everything else done, too. I cannot leave the house until it is showably clean, if I do, it's almost guaranteed someone will show the house that day =/

The best thing I've done is clear out some cabinets in my kitchen in which we stow our daily school stuff. We also now have a kitchen drawer for pencils, scissors, sharpeners etc.

I know it is overwhelming. But if you can donate a lot of stuff to a women's crisis center and clear out most of the stuff that you have to clean up..it gets a lot easier. Not only do you have less to pick up, you can make room for the favorite things in cleared out cabinets and closets.

Another thing I've done is sacrificed some of my alone time at night to clean, so that in the mornings I have less to do and can sit down with the kids more.

Listening to audiobooks or internet radio stations like pandora helps me clean as well=)

Ding...Ding...Ding! LOL. So I wrote Shelby last night and told her that there were 8 cans (well really 7 cans and one bottle) and I made a joke that they are still sitting there - but do you think I tossed them out! I would have, if the can wasn't so full next to my desk.

Next week is cleaning week...today is the first day that I don't have much to do and I am NOT cleaning the house! Tomorrow I leave for Holyoke, Colorado for farm inspections...blah :( So I have to pack and charge up my gear...Plus it is physics lab day...so NOT cleaning.

PM me, Mom4girls, with the course you would like from my site (links below) and your e-mail and I will send it over!

Cool! Well, maybe; I bet there ends up being more by the time you empty your trash. LOL Have fun cleaning next week! And have fun today. I hope the farm inspections go O.K. Life is so busy but I am glad it is! :)

Find and prioritize. Take a deeeeep breath! We have 8 children, did childcare for 17 years. The children live in the home and they take care of the home no matter how old they are. First of all....your not alone and its ok to be a mess. We do have many messes in each room but we are clean. We sometimes laugh and call ourselves the "Pile Family". You know...pile here....pile there. But utilize them to work with you not against you and you will be teaching them valuable lessons of "home economics"! Count it as school and its cool! Hope this did not confuse you but helped.

I am a Maid lol. I clean for a local Dr. twice a week (it helps out with the grocery bill). But here is the thing I can't be bothered to clean my own.

Ha ha like the plumber with a leaky faucet!

That is not my trouble. I just spend too much time on everything else. Right now I have 4 loads of laundry in baskets that need to be folded and put away. My poor husband had to dig for socks out of the basket this morning.

Thank you so much for sharing! My house is out of control, too!!! It is comforting to know there are others out there :). Your comment about always meeting unexpected visitors outside completely hit home for me (the terror of having them see what lies inside!) We have four little ones (6 years down to 9 months) & it's hard to have the little ones do too many chores (or if they do chores, I have to be right there with them--definitely not independent yet for most chores) I have appreciated reading everyone's input & think I will try the idea of taking twenty minutes and trying to tackle one room at a time; I always get overwhelmed & then just want to curl up in a ball & hide from all of the clutter :). It's so hard not to feel frustrated, guilty, and ashamed of a messy house, no matter what positive reinforcement we receive for quality time with our children and family! Thanks again for posting & thanks to all those that shared and provided some suggestions :)
