Book Samaritan ****UPDATE***** Hi All! I was wondering if any of yall have used Book Samaritan before? I wrote them to see if I would be able to recieve any curriculum and I was wondering if they would email to say "yes or no". If they would be able to send anything I would be so grateful, but I would totally understand if they werent able to at this time. Can anyone who has been given materials by Book Samaritan share they're experience? Thank Yall and God Bless! Shawna UPDATE! Day before yesterday (Wed) I recieved a big box full of curriculum for dd! They even sent Catholic books (Teachers manual and workbooks!~I had mentioned we were Catholic/Christian) Yesterday we recived an addtional big reading book ! It only took two weeks! I highly reccomend asking if you need and if yall have anything to donate or want to clean out your shelves, send it along to Book Samaritan! It is such a wonderful ministry and it has been such a blessing to us! PRAISE THE LORD!
the book samaritan has been a godsend to my family! We are definitely having financial hardships and couldn't afford curriculum. I listed my needs (basically all subjects for 2 first grade students. I did put specific curriculum requests and told them I would take anything. About 2 weeks after sending my letter there was a big box on my porch full of stuff! I got several of the items I requested and lots more! It has been such a blessing to us. I will be sending it back at the end of the year or forwarding it to others in need! A truly unique ministry that came to our rescue when we needed it! I hope to be able to send them lots of stuff when we get back on our feet! I did have to buy a few workbooks, but I have tried to buy used and spend as little as possible. Good luck to you!
Thanks! I hadnt used them before, but I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this ministry!Finances are so tight for us right now and I will be so grateful for anything that they send! I look forward to the day when I can send them donations! Do they let you know if anything is being sent (like via email?) or do they just send it along to you?....just wondering! lol!

type in Book Samaritan in search on this site~there were a couple threads about it a month or so ago and the addy is in one of them. I have read other sites that say they are in full swing and just dont fool with the website!
I used them once. You send a letter but it was my experience that you either get sent books or you dont' hear from them at all. I tried them twice but only got stuff once. That was good because I asked prematurely the time I didn't get it....things got better so I was no longer in need.
Book samaritan is Wonderful!! We requested some items from them and received a HUGE box in less than two weeks. I was shocked. I will be donating to them when we are finished with our books this year. They were a true blessing to my family.
