Oh see - now you sent me there and now I want a HearthKit Brick Oven Insert! BTW - if you guys don't have the Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day book you need to get it It's my favorite easy recipe book and the bread rocks!
Thanks! This time of year I always start thinking about making bread. I don't use my bread machine often because I'm one of those odd ducks that actually loves the process of doing it by hand, but I can use those recipes for regular loaves, too.
I was thinking that also. I have found that so many recipes can be done by hand. I just have not had the time lately. Now I do sometimes just set it to dough and then make it all out myself. Does that count?
Our fave bread recipe for everyday bread is called Soft As Wonder Bread. It can be made by hand or the dough can be made in the bread machine. The directions have both. It does need to be cooked in the oven though. And if you make hot dog buns, hamburger rolls, or sub rolls another good recipe is called Soft Sandwich Rolls. Just google them and you should find the recipes easy enough. Both are super soft.
