The poor thing has been so sick throwing up since yesterday morning. He also is having pain in his ear and can't keep down any medicine. He is drinking some, but if he drinks too much or has meds then he gets sick again. I am so upset. I don't know what to do for him. Please say a prayer that this bug will pass very soon. I don't know how much more he can take before we end up at the hospital.
Praying for Preston. There is a phengran suppository that they can give him if you take him in. It is to stop the puking. They give it to us migraine patients all the time. My son got it one time when he had the flu because he couldn't keep down anything else. Good luck and we will keep him in our prayers.
They didn't want to give the suppository to him because it can keep the virus in your body (verses purging it out). I wish that they could give him something. He is able to keep down water so I guess we'll sip on that today.
Poor Preston. It's so hard having a sick child. You hate so much for them to feel bad. I will pray for him and you.
Missy, you should have stayed off-line while the rest of us were fighting it! And I thought computer viruses only attacked machines, lol! Seriously, praying for poor Preston! Hoping he gets feeling better soon. Just take it easy until he does!
Praying for Preston (and for you)... try Gatorade or Powerade when he drinks... it replaces some of what he's losing and not half as expensive as Paedialyte (?sp)
Missy, have you been to the doctor to check for ear infection? I'm fighting that now-again- and that would explain the ear pain. I hope he's better soon. My Jeanne is still getting over her illness and it does hurt us when our kids are sick. Can he tolerate juice pops? It also seems to me there's some frozen medicine thing out there, to replenish the child's system.
Well, he's doing better now. I talked to his doctor this afternoon and she recommended we head to the ER. I had told her that he continued to throw up all day today. The ER gave him some medicine to help with the vomiting and said he was not dehydrated. YAY! We got to come home shortly after that. He's now, finally, resting in his bed. I sure hope this is over. He needs to start on his antibiotic for his ear tomorrow. His ear is still hurting. Thank you for praying for Preston everybody! You all are special to me.
