As I've said before, I've been extremely fatigued lately. I am quite stressed over my assignments that are due this weekend. Add to that the fact that I'm now feeling like poo poo thanks to the wonderful rhinovirus, and you have one cranky momma. So I've made up my mind to make today a good day in spite of my circumstances. This will take an intentional effort, so here is my action plan: 1. I will drink as much Coca-cola as I want without feeling guilty about the caffiene (it feels sooooo good on my throat). 2. I will drink at least two cups of hot tea with lemon and honey. 3. I will take a hot bath before bed. 4. I will read my Bible a little extra this afternoon. 5. I will study for my midterm laying in bed. 6. I will absolve myself of the laundry and dishes responsibilities for the day. 7. I will set aside time to watch Numbers tonight... from my bed. 8. I will listen to a worship podcast and praise Him for at least an hour. 9. I will make the necessary phone calls for the week and feel like I've accomplished enough. 10. I will ask DH nicely to get me medicine and kleenex... and a pumpkin pie frozen custard. So what are you going to do to make sure today is a good day?
I will take time for a nap today when my baby sleeps. I will take the puppy for a nice long walk without the children after hubby gets home. I will not answer the phone (long story)
Ok, it's official: My DH rocks. He wasn't home from work for more than a minute when he asked what he could go get for me! So I didn't even have to ask. That makes it even better.
I bought a new fall table cloth and a pretty yellow and orange mum plant for my kitchen table. It looks so pretty and really brightened my day We even had candles on the table at supper time.
Took some time to play outside with my kids today! It was a crisp Autumn day. We took a walk to the post office then came home and watched my 4 yr old practice riding her trike. I also made some jewerly! Fun!
Well, today is over..but tomorrow.... I will give myself a break and be ok with not getting everyone done in a day. I will take an extra long hot shower. I will take time to read my book.
I am not going anywhere. Well now that I think about it I do have to run to the store to get my dog a diaper. He has an abcessed anal gland and it is weeping and I don't want it on any furniture or carpet. Other than that I plan to make bread, clean house and have all school checked. A clean house and all school complete makes me a happy mommy.
I already posted yesterday, but this is an excellent thread! Today I am going to walk on the treadmill. Excercise helps me feel good, especially during dreary weather. I'm also going to clean my bathroom... it's icky LOL! Having a clean bathroom will make things seem fresh. I might also light a candle to make things smell nice and have some tea this afternoon while doing some fun web browsing.
I'm going to exercise and take a long hot shower with yummy smelling bath foam. I'm not going to cook tonight!
I managed to stretch, do 60 crunches, 30 pushups and and 80 butt and leg exercises. Took only a half an hour and I did it while Grace very nicely and quietly did her math. Now for that hot shower.
I am going to pick up the house while my kids watch a well deserved movie. Then I am going to sit and read until I take the kids to their music classes
