Baking pumkin and acorn squash

    I bought both of these around the 16th, are they still good to open up and try to bake a pie with the pumkin and what ever for the acorn squash. Still need a reciepe for the acorn squash. I hate to just toss them. Maybe cut up and toss in the yard for the squirrls and chipmuks.

    As long as you haven't cut into them yet, they should still be good. I have bought pumpkins and cut them weeks later for baking. They were fine.

    That is one of the great thing about fall veggies like these, as long as you do not cut them open they will keep well.
    Do a search on allrecipes.com, there are some excellent ones there for both of these. From cookies and cakes to main courses and soups these are wonderful veggies to feed your family.
