I have to bring a party food to the harvest party tomorrow and I have no idea what to bring. Last week at the hay maze party I made rice crispy bars with the caramel in the middle. It's the same people so I don't want to make it again. The only thing I could think of was monster cookies with orange and black m&ms. I don't have to do sweets, it's just what keeps coming to mind. Any ideas???????????

I'm looking through the halloween recipe book looking up stuff so why don't I just share some thoughts...........

cupcakes frosted white take some shredded wheat cereal and put a bit where the neck would be..... use black or red decorating gel (or melted chocolate chips) to make the smile with little stitches. use a candy corn for the nose and small M&M's or candy bits for the eyes then smoosh out some gum drops to make a hat use the decorating gel or melted chocolate to make the band on the had stand out.

2 bunt cakes put ontop of one another and use orange tinted frosting.... use an ice cream cone or small dixi cup frosted green for the stem...... get more creative and pipe on some green leaves or make a jack-o-lantern face.

Use Raffia to tie up some carrot or zucchini sticks like a corn stack

English muffin or bagle halves topped with cheese and make a jack-o-lantern face and bake

hot dogs wrapped with breadstick dough to look like mummies, use dabs of mustard for eyes.

    Spider Web Dip

    1 Package cream cheese, softened
    1 jar prepared salsa
    1/2 cup prepared guacamole
    1 T. sour cream.
Place cream cheese and salsa in blender, or food processor blend until smooth spread on a round serving dish or pie plate, smooth guacamole over leaing a 1/2 inch border of the cream cheese mixture showing on edge. use the sour cream in a small baggie with hole in corner to make a web, use a toothpick to make points on web going through the wour cream circles.

EYE BALLS (deviled eggs dressed up)

make your regular deviled eggs, use a few squiggles of ketchup to make blood shot eyes and put a pimiento stuffed olive half in center for the "eye". you can use a bit of curly red lettuce to look like eye browes coming up under neath the eye balls.

** recipe actually says you should use a ketchup packet to make squiggles or put ketchup in a baggie and cut small corner.
