Ben is a 2 yo whose family is in the hs group that I am a member of. Ben has had many surgeries and he has to have another one tomorrow. He is a very scared of hospital, doctors and nurses, etc. He has had brain surgery 2 times, MRI's, feeding tubes, etc. He is the cutest little boy, loves to play ball, runs, jumps and talks so cute. His mother just sent me an e-mail and she is not looking forward to this. Please pray for Ben and his family tomorrow. They will greatly appreciate any prayers.
Thanks for your prayers. I just received an update on Ben. He went to surgery at 8:10. They gave him "loopy pills" and said that he was watching Sponge Bob and laughing. When they took him to surgery, he didn't cry. Praise the Lord!! Will update when more info is available. Thanks again for your prayers. They have been through so much this past year.
I know that is hard. My son had his first of 6 surgeries at 1 year old. They do get to hating doctors and being scared. It is the hardest thing to have them take your crying child behind the operating door and you know they have to go. Nothing you can do about it. Praying because I know it well. Will be in there again with my 2 boys April 22. Both the same day. Lorna
Just had another update about Ben. He did really well, Praise the Lord - they needed him to pee and he did!!!!
Just received another e-mail from Ben. He is in alot of pain now and takes morphine. They won't let him go home until he doesn't need the morphine. There is something wrong with his ng tube. Not sure what they are going to do with that. Thank you all so much for all your prayers.
I'm glad things went well, I am sorry to hear he is in pain. I've had my share of kids in the hospital, I know how worrysome it can be for the whole family and those around them. (all four of our kids have had their own medical problems). I hate hearing about kids having to go through so much, my husband too, he can't even watch those "Miricle shows"---there is one starting soon, because it tears him up too.
Another update on Ben. They think that when the doctors stitched him up, they stitched the ng tube up with it. If that is the case, they have to go back in - surgery and fix the problem. They are awaiting the doctor now. He had the other surgery lap. they will not be able to do this surgery that way. Of course, this means more pain. Pray, Pray Pray for Ben.
Well, the dr. did stitch the tube, yes he has to do more surgery to correct his mistake and yes they will have to cut again. Pray for Ben that the pain will be minimal and pray for his mom, she is having a very tough time.
Oh myyyy. Poor little Ben! We will keep praying! Thanks for keeping us updated. Let us know how it all goes!
Ben is home and is doing fine. Still alot of medical problems. He is happy and glad to be home. Thanks for the prayers.
