Our family has "green stuff" which is lime jello, pineapple chunks, crushed pineapple, cool whip and cottage cheese. It's not a family holiday without it and now we always make it in memory of my uncle who passed away three years ago and that was his favorite thing.

Hey Lee thanks for the great recipe. I did "doctor it" though. I changed the raspberry jello to blueberry and added pecans and cool whip. Wow!! Yummo on the smoked turkey. Oh, I just used mixed berries and cranberries.

All these great recipes and I didn't end up making any of them. I didn't even end up at Thanksgiving dinner.

I bought everything to make the stuffed mushrooms and the broccoli cornbread, so I'll have to make them for my class Monday night (assuming I'm over this sick-yuck by then).

jackie, my broccolli cheese rice casserole : i cook about 4 cups of instant white rice, but any will do. i also steam a bag of frozen chopped broccolli until well done and tender. Then i mix 1 can of cream of chix soup, 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 jar of cheese wiz in a sauce pan until mixed and smooth. i usually add a coupld tablespoons of sour cream, sometimes a small can of chopped mushrooms. i pour the majority of this is a bowl, then i put in 1/2 the rice and 1/2 the broccolli, then i mix then in and then add more rice and broccolli until it is the consistency i like. the i put in a greased 9x13 dish and scoop up the remainder couple of scoops of cheesy mix on top and smooth out. i cook on 350 for about 45 min to an hour, and then its done. very yummy. even my aunt who hates rice, loves this recipe, lol.

Sounds great! Add a can of chicken and substitute cream of chicken for the mushroom, and you'd have a complete meal.
